LOL @ everyone thinking that they had diabetes when they were excessively thirsty. I thought that too. I tend to drink A LOT of liquids throughout the day, so I am constantly mindful that my excessive thirst = diabetes!

I can't remember responding to this, it's been too long, but here are some:
I also thought I was diabetic when I was getting thirsty one time, and then when my grandmother became diabetic, I thought of stacey and tried to act like I'm an expert on it and refused to give her chocolate or sugar if any was around
I made a cute outfit inspired by what Maxie, Karen's Pen Pal wore in her school picture, it was a colourful sweater with round patterns and a matching headband, but I had glasses, so it was a hybrid of Karen and Maxie, I thought after that for years it was so nerdy but now I think it's ADORABLE!
I bought lots of jewelry making kits and wore the jewelry to school, but people thought it was tacky or made fun of me for it, but there was nothing wrong with it, and they went well with my clothes, I just liked dressing up nicely for school and people were more casual so they thought I was either a nerd or stuck up, cause I was a mix of appearing as both though I wasn't stuck up, just quiet. Anyways I used model magic, beads, rhinestones, string, paint, plaster and moulds
when I first read that mary anne cries at the drop of the hat, I went around saying she cries if she sees a hat fall haha
I wanted to start a detective agency like Karen and make flyers for the neighborhood, how silly!
In my 6th grade journal, I would change my writing for each day, making it like a different BSC member, I like how Shannon turned out best...I wonder if I looked like I had split personalities
I wanted to coach a baseball team like Kristy at one point even though I was terrible at sports, I just got caught up in Blue Jays world series hype
I wanted to go to NYC so badly for years cause of Stacey and would get excited in front of my parents and annoyed them, I must have sounded like Mary Anne, I finally went and I loved it! Would love to go back.
I thought girls not getting their ears pierced as babies was a white girl thing haha cause I got mine pierced before I was a year old and so did most people I know
I just read about someone doing rabbit rabbit, I still remember it till this day and try to do it, but unsuccessfully
when I hear the word boo, I think of boo boo

When I was younger, like many others, I wanted to start my own BSC. But I was like 8, lol, so not sitting age obviously. My friends and I decided to start a club where we would tutor other kids in reading. I drew up a flier I basically copied from KGI, but my mom wouldn't let me actually distribute it, lol.
I will occasionally say the phrase "silly billy goo goo."
I sometimes call one of my cats Tigger, although his name is Barrie. And he looks nothing like MA's Tigger.

I LOLed at supprazz's username because, I think, it is a reference to Logan saying "Surprise!"
Which book was this referenced in? #10?

Haha, I still think that. I always read Jezebel commenters complaining about piercing baby ears being half a step down from female genital mutilation and think of my mother's explanation: "But if we didn't pierce your ears, everyone would think you were a boy!"

I was convinced that tofu had to be the most disgusting thing ever because of the way the girls acted whenever Dawn ate it.
I've still never tried tofu, but I would. It's just something I never really think of when I'm gorcery shopping.

Which book was this referenced in? #10? yep it's from Logan, I didn't think about where it originated from, but it probably was from #10. I would just read about it in chapter 2 when people would talk about Logan's accent and reference how he pronounces it

I expect the accent would be spelled with an "ah".

I used to have a crush on Logan growing up (and I'm a guy. Sorry, I know I say that often but I think it's because 99% of people on this forum are women/girls!)

Okay here are some other things I remembered:
I wanted to start a baby sitters club and use that as experience for becoming a teacher or social worker, and my one aunt always put me down for it saying it's really silly
I wanted to grow up and have a farm after reading Karen's Plane Trip and seeing a couple of other cartoons with farm themes....I'm totally the opposite now and a total city girl like I've always been
I used to want to work in a bookstore cause I thought I could get whatever I want for free, and cause I loved to read like Mallory and she wanted that....meaning more BSC books! Adults would roll their eyes, and I don't blame them, who wants to work minimum wage when they are qualified to work in their field of choice?
My glasses were bigger than my face but I insisted on wearing them in pictures from grade 4 to 6/early 7 cause of Karen's School Picture and though now I think it's adorable, it really didn't do anything for my cute features and ruined pics. I could have done a bit of both, but I didn't.
Even though it said the books were fiction, I used to think they were real cause when I was just getting into the series, I just knew there was a baby sitters club series and it was something popular though I didn't know much about it yet (about 1991/92) just from afar. However, I did believe they were real at first and when I first saw Karen in Claudia and the Missing Jewels I was so excited
There was a girl that no one liked and I wanted to write her a letter to make her think it's from a guy that likes her, but then my uncle found out about it and stopped me....that is SO cokie mason of me isn't it?
I thought the idea of crank calls were funny or tracking down people, thanks to alan gray, claudia etc. so I did it to friends and even people in the city until I chickened out after the first 2-3

My childhood was heavily influenced by Karen. I was a devoted Little Sister fan, and I tried to use "Karen-isms," like gigundoly and meanie-mo in conversations. I also attempted to start my own Kitty cat Club with my friend and her cat. However, it didn't work out so well. My cat was a female and hers was a male. Both cats were not fixed yet, and they got a little too "friendly" with each other during our first club meeting . I also really wanted a little sister in grade school, so I told one of my friends that I had a little sister named Hannie .

When I was a kid, I used to be pretty influenced by Stacey and Jessica from SVH, I used to think being a nerd was not cool, and really wanted to be popular. When I went to HS I changed a lot and left my book loving days behind, and grew up too quickly, but now I am back to being a mixture of both. I still think that being 'cool' like Stacey and Jessica had a really big impact on me growing up though...
