^Or the Heathers vs. Martha Dumptruck. Ann's book and that movie always remind me of each other. They've always reminded me of each other, too!

yeah both of my grandma's have diabetes, so when one of them got the diagnosis, I considered myself an annoying expert trying to help, but was eventually calmed down, cause her diet was different from stacey's

The only thing I did because of the BSC was the Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich. I wanted to know how it was and it was quite good and it became my favorite sandwich.

* I live in Connecticut, so I remember wanting so badly to visit Stoneybrook and being crushed when I found out it wasn't real. Though I do still study maps of Fairfield County to figure out where it'd be. My best guess? Stoneybrook is Westport.
* I ran for vice-president of the seventh grade and actually used "K+" on my campaign posters (my name is Katie). I ended up winning.
* I dotted my i's with hearts. I still do sometimes if I'm feeling especially goofy.
* I STILL do "rabbit rabbit"....but now it's because my parents know it's a thing and think it's funny. If I don't say it out loud, I text it to my mom (like I did last Wednesday).
* I name the books in order instead of counting sheep when I can't sleep. I'm good up until the fifties, then all bets are off and I just start naming ones that I know are around there.
* I legitimately took ballet for five years, inspired by Jessi.

I also am into geography and looked up possible placements of Stoneybrook. Westport is a good guess! I think the show "Who's The Boss?" was set in Fairfield, CT which is basically next-door!

Westport is where the Ricardos moved to in I Love Lucy, so I'm sure it at least played a part in Ann's thinking. I wrote on this subject a long time ago: blog.stoneybrookite.org/2007/08/23/welcome-to-fairfield-county-ct/

I've done this for years. I used to remember up to the mid 60s, but my BSC-ness is slipping. Mostly I just get annoyed if I'm still awake to try to remember book numbers that high.

I sometimes see if I still remember all the food Karen ate in Karen's Surprise

I don't know if it's "weird" but ever since I read that Sunny has a neon pink plastic wallet in CD#1, I've wanted one I was at Claire's the other day, should have looked more closely, haha.

^The 99 cent only store has a pink wallet with two care bears on it. I briefly considered getting it last time I saw it but it doesn't have a coin part and the billfold is more monopoly money sized, I did like the idea though. At one time I did have a pink Mickey Mouse wallet also courtesty of 99, that one was a little more regular in size and did have a zippered coin section.

I used to pretend that where I lived was Stoneybrook. Certain houses would remind me of what I pictured as Stoneybook, even though I didn't live anywhere close to Connecticut.

I used to pretend that where I lived was Stoneybrook. Certain houses would remind me of what I pictured as Stoneybook, even though I didn't live anywhere close to Connecticut. A house that was near my grandparents house always made me think of Mary Anne's grandparents's house. It was actually a pretty run down little house, but once (I am guessing right after readying Mary Anne and the Secret in the Attic lol) I saw an older couple sitting outside with a little girl, so from then on in my mind it was Mary Anne's grandparent's house.
