Ooh, I would love to find a secret entrance or closet or something! After reading this book for the first time, I searched my old house all the time, knocking on the walls, and looking for cracks and bumps I could poke at, haha. Even when my family moved to our new house... I still did it a little. Haha. It's all the BSC's fault, I tell you!

I remember thinking about secret passages first after *The House of Dies Drear.*

^ I used to love that book and it made me think more of passages than Ghost at Dawn's House. I'm still mad I can't find one at my house. ;D

I've never even heard of it! What's it about? I love secret passages. Except I was more creeped out by the secret closet in the apartment, once I guessed what it was used for. My mom told me how she used to write notes from george washington and leave them in the crawl space at her house for her brothers to find.

I wanted to do that too, but knew I wouldn't find a thing After reading Stacey and the Haunted Masquerade, I also looked for writing on the floors like when Stacey or someone finds that at Charlotte's house, which helps them solve the mystery.

I had never noticed how funny some of the scenes are in Mean Janine with the day camp. I always love the group sitting chapters and really got a good laugh out of this one when I read it this morning. ;D

Dies DRear was about a black family who moved into a house that was once on the Underground Railroad. I don't remember much about the plot though, except there was a secret passage into the house.

^ I don't really care for the follies but I am bothered by things like that so I can see where everyone else would think it was hilarious. ;D I had forgotten about Jessi's humor in Hello Mallory. I remember she was pretty funny in that one so will have to reread soon. I found a lot of funny parts in World's Cutest Baby this morning. I think it may be one of the funnier Claudia ones. Classic "dumb" moments. ;D

I appreciated that logan felt the need to illustrate the postcard with a picture of a toilet, just in case ma had never seen one before.

Interesting that you know it was once a brothel.

^I guess all the houses on that block were once used for illegal gambling and brothel-ing. It was a horrible apartment, the floor was crooked, and the hot water ran out after 7 minutes. The windows never stayed open during the summer, and didn't close all the way during the winter. .. I'm a little sad just thinking about it. Oh, and we thought we had a ghost because the doors would always be opening and closing on their own.
