^I wish we had gotten to know Andrew better. Good point Starrynight. Maybe I'm not giving the Mancusi's enough credit. I just have a hard time getting past their putting all that responsibility on the shoulders of an 11 year old who only met all the pets (read the instructions for each animal) the very night before she was to take over. Of course, neither of Jessi's parents came with her for that meeting either. IDK, I'm just not a big fan of this book or its smell however real or imagined!

I feel like the mancusi family is a bunch of animal hoarders.

It is a bit weird to have quite so many.

Yeah, is weird to have many pets. I don't know anyone having over dozen pets in one house. Almost like a zoo, at the Mancusi's house.

they kind of treated it like a zoo by taking the children there!

When they growing up. If, people had more than 6 animals. They either live on the farm or have small zoo, where they lived.

It would be difficult to take care of so many animals with also having a full-time job. That's almost like a full time job in itself!

^I agreed with you. Some of those pets need be taken care almost everyday. The feeding, cleaning, making sure, they got their shots up to date and etc...

^ Maybe they just did the bare minimum or took a lot shortcuts?
Does anybody think that it's just a coincidence that there are so many Pikes and that there's so many Mancusi pets?

I don't see how they could take care of all those animals and work full time.. I think having pets is just a lifestyle that you get used to if you're living it. How do people work full time and have multiple kids in extra curriculars every night? They work it out.

Pets don't have to be driven around!
