^gosh, yes! I always cringe whenever I reread my old diaries. I didn’t realize it then, but looking back on it now, I did a lot of stupid and embarassing stuff. I always wished I find a mystery diary or something too! My family moved a lot when I was a kid-- and I'd search the attic and the rooms, hoping to find a mystery diary or clues, but i never did. I always figured that the people who lived in the houses before us must've been neat freaks because I never found a gosh-darn thing.

A couple of years ago I found my diary from 7th grade. It was embarrasing to remember what a dork I was at that age.

I found my diary from 7th grade and threw it away immediately. I thought about this book and was like "what if someone found this?!?"

I would be so embarrased if anyone ever found my old diaries.

When I was a teenager I found out my sister had read my journal so I re-read it to see what she'd read and I was soooo embarrassed. I ripped each page out and shredded them and threw it all away. Then I threw away all my other old journals!

one day I decided to go back and re read all my old diaries and was surprised at what a different person I was back then. As for this book I don't remember much about it itself, I need to reread it, but I do remember the seance scene and that was a a classic.

I would like to find one of my old diaries to get some insight into my former self but never kept one. Always thought it was a waste of time. I probably wouldn't be embarrassed if someone had read it but I don't embarrass very easily and do cringe to think what I might have written. Probably nothing good, though. Maybe a "spy journal" or something ;D I do wish I would find a good "mystery" of my own. Am supposed to get an old family bible this weekend that my aunt finally found (need it for genealogy) so maybe that will have some secrets. I'm convinced our family has some secrets but so far haven't been able to uncover them. This one is definitely worth rereading. It's the first BSC book I owned and still my favorite.

The first diary I remember keeping was in 6th grade where I would go on and on about my "boyfriend". All we did though was talk on the phone a lot. It wasn't like a real boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.

Even though I threw my old journals away (I always refused to think of them as diaries, for some reason I thought a diary was dorky but a journal was okay... I was a weirdo), anyway, I still know what was in all of them. They were full of me writing about whatever boy I was "totally in love with" and stuff... I can honestly picture this page in one of my journals where I wrote this guys name all huge and surrounded the whole thing with a million hearts. haha. He probably never even knew my name, lol I would also write about how we were wearing like, the same color of shirt and how OBVIOUSLY that meant we were destined to be together. Oh man to be so naive again!

^ I started consistently keeping diaries/journals/whatever almost 15 years ago. I have every single one of them and I won't intentionally get rid of them. I usually end up laughing when I read them. I always picture someone "discovering" them somewhere down the line, and thinking about that always reminds me of this book!

I recently found my old diary from when I was 12...I must have been even more pathetic and sad than I remembered, because every single freaking page was about Haley Joel Osment and how much I looooved him (I guess I had recently seen A.I. Artificial Intelligence, because the ticket stub is in there too) It was really embarrassing to read even to myself, lol. Nowadays I would totally watch that movie to check out Jude Law. ;D

^ Okay, I feel really old now since I always thought Hayley Joel was the "cutest little kid" and have to admit I'm not even positive who Jude Law is ;D I tend to go for the much older actors, though (just call me Stacey going after the ancient Wes ;D) Does Kristy insist on dressing up for the sceance in this one? I remember Mal being a little upset that Kristy had to lead it but saying it was okay because Kristy was older and president - maybe another instance of the jr members feeling inferior and subordinate to the older girls and just thankful to be included in the club at all.

^Haha yeah, her "Madam Kristin" getup. That always made me giggle. I do think it was kinda mean of Kristy to insist on leading the seance though, since it WAS Mallory's idea. She could have let Mal run it.

This book is a great one, one of the best Mal ones Ann loves old diaries, I swear a similar thing happens in 10 kids no pets! I would totally cringe if I found my old diaries, and I would make sure to rip them up. I was all I love so and so, alot.
