I mean wasn't it creepy that he went to their homes! Shouldn't the talent have come to him? I definitely read a super creeper vibe!

^Exactly. If nothing else he should have waited to pay Rosie a home visit until at least one of her parents was home--that was the super creepy part, imo. I don't care that Rosie's agent, Ms. Yu, who Rosie knew and liked was there. Though thank goodness for her at least!

My clearest memory of this book is claudia making comment about Janine and Rosie being geniuses and wearing glasses, while Claudia had no glasses and was not a genius. That annoyed me at the time as I wear glasses it doesn't make me a genius!
On re-reading, I laughed when Rosie was doing her whole superior thing to Jessi making her feel dumb and Jessi has the bright idea to call Janine to help. Which Rosie totally didn't want she just wanted to act like a brat and make Jessi feel dumb for not knowing the answers to her questions.
I did feel sorry for Rosie, even if she was bratty a lot of the time, having no free time and constantly being pushed to do activities that she doesn't even enjoy them any more.

^I just had the thought of Rosie vs Myriah Perkins in terms of activities. Both girls (I thought) were involved in way too many extra curriculars, especially for their young ages. The difference, of course, was that Myriah loved all of hers while Rosie didn't. Myriah had perfect parents, Rosie didn't. I never made the comparison before but now am wondering if "Rosie" could have been "Myriah." I know in Stoneybrook no one, except maybe Karen rivals the Perkins girls but still.

So maybe in 2 years time Mrs Perkins will push Myriah so much that she will hate all her activities as well

About the glasses and genius, I wonder what Claudia would have thought of hipsters and "art geeks" that wore glasses and had bangs and wore semi-nerdy/semi-chic outfits.

Was uncle dandy never mentioned anywhere else in the series? I could totally have seen Karen Brewer becoming obsessed with getting on his show.

Must we have *another* book where Claudia feels stupid, inferior to either Janine or a sitting charge, and uses art as a way to make her unique and special. I like Claud a lot, but it feels like many of her books were on repetitive topics (i.e. they really drained out the fact that she was the "bad student").

Yeah, and then in the one book where she actually works hard and gets an A on a test she's accused of cheating. Claud can't win.
