Wouldn't Stacey have needed a huge pile of granny panties to cover that big doll?

Was it ever described as big? I thought it was an average-sized doll...

no matter how big lennie is, out of respect for her friend she should have kept that poor thing away from her panties. but i always thought she was regular sized.

Okay, wow, Lennie and the underwear is actually a lot grosser than I remembered:
So Lennie wouldn't have had to be very large to be hidden by underwear and the hamper, but YUCK at putting something that belongs to someone else in with dirty clothes and and underwear that have been sitting around for days. I know Claudia's a slob, but I'm sure even she would disapprove of that.

I always thought Lennie was a medium sized cloth type doll. ITA that regardless of how big she may have been for Stacey to dump it in the hamper was very gross but also disrespectful to Claudia. Was Lennie ever mentioned again?

If everything had to be "perfect," wouldn't Stacey have picked up the clothes off the closet floor?
Why isn't under the bed a good hiding place? I'm guessing Laine won't go looking there.
Just thinking of someone putting something of mine in with their underwear...ugh Poor Claud.

Ok, I don't know why I thought Lennie was so big. I pictured Claudia using it as an extra pillow for some reason.

Just scored this one off Ebay...yay :-) It's been a while since i read it but from what i can remember, i agree with the fact that Stacey did force the issue a bit with Laine in regards to going to Stoneybrook, but i do think Stacey had good intentions with wanting to have all her friends get along. It's hard when you realise that either yourself or someone close to you has changed, but it happens i guess.

I guess at least since it's a cloth doll, Stacey can wash it in the washing machine before she gives it back to Laine.

AMM, have you ever met any 11- or 13-year-old girls? Ever?
Also, in my copy of this book, the back cover spells Mary Anne as Mary Ann. Same in the preview for the next book ("Mary Ann + 2 Many Babies"). Anyone else's do this?

^Yes, my back cover (old style) does the same thing. However, in the preview "Anne" has the "E!"

Celaeno, the movie thing is like when they wanted Kristy to run for class president so that the school could put on really cool plays like A Raisin in the Sun. Really?

I first saw TKAM when I was 13/14. It was for school, we watched it in the classroom. I rolled my eyes so much when I saw that reference in the book...give me a break!

Really? ...and how were they going to do that with only three or four black students in all of SMS? I'm not saying that white kids couldn't play black roles and vice versa, but still....it would be a bit awkward in this case....
