^ Oh. I just thought that MA was paying some unusual attention to areas of his body that were below his waist. (Ah man, I have to get my mind out of the gutter.)

I have always had a soft spot for this book, as it was the 1st ever book I read in the series.
I am a fan of Logan and Mary Anne. They always seemed so great together. I never thought of looking for my own Logan, though.
After reading several of the later books, this book seems to be slightly different. That could be me imagining things, though. Instead of a scene from the book, the plotline is given just inside the book. That could only be the version which had the bricks on the outside cover.

I used to have the UK version of this book. The cover was beyond hideous.

I alwasy wondered why Logan stuck with Mary Anne after she refuses to rejoin the dance after the shoe incident and after she ran out of the party. No 13 year old boy is actually that patient in real life!

I'm a fan of Logan/MA as well, clare. I know a lot of people aren't or don't like Logan, but I've always liked him. He seems like a "sensitive" guy, so I can see that they'd have that in common. I always thought his antics in Starring the BSC and whatnot were really out of character.

^ Totally agree about him being sensitive and good for MA. But I don't think his behavior in Starring was that much out of character since he was just goofing off a little. I can see a guy like him doing something like that. I did think his jerkiness in books like Island Adventure was out of character, though.

The Uk covers weren't soo bad at least in the later books..Most of it was nuts with the odd nice looking girl on the cover. I did really like the majority of the mystery book covers though...although again, there were a few that were nuts and like the artist couldn't be bothered.
This cover however was horrendous. Poor Logan. On the whole I think Kristy's idea is the worst UK cover. They all look FUG...and poor poor Mary Anne...she was done wrong!
There is no excuse for ugly looking girls on the covers. How hard is it to draw someone nice looking?

I would love to see more of the UK covers. The one I saw - Island Adventure - was very .... interesting ;D Agree that I don't like seeing pictures of ugly characters.

That link you posted Liss is to my other site I go to! It's more SV. As for this book, I liked it. I liked MA's outfit, getting Tigger... I thought it was funny with the shoe, and MA running out of the party!

This book is how I wish 8th grade had been for me. I think that's how all of us wanted 8th grade to be.
