My translated books only go up to #66 and it is near impossible here to get your hands on American/original versions. At least that means I haven't seen some of my favourite BSC boyfriends turn jerks, but I can't discuss it either:(

I tend to really like the books with a lot of drama and dilemmas but this was one of my favorite feel-good books.

Not really a baseball fan, but this was still a fun book to read. It was cute to see all the kids working hard as a team, no matter how many times they struck out. And Jackie's scenes, while OTT, were still funny. He just seems like a cute kid who is extremely klutzy. I like that he keeps trying even though he knows he's accident prone. I liked seeing Kristy and Watson's relationship grow in this one. Though I'm surprised that he wasn't an assistant coach? I kind of expected that to happen when Kristy mentioned he's a big baseball fan and he helped her with her lists and such. That moment at the end when she thinks about hugging him is really sweet, it shows how much their relationship has progressed from the beginning of the series. And this was a random moment, but I liked that Kristy showed up to Claudia's house early and they talked a few minutes before everyone else showed up. Janine showing up in the room with Tigger was also cute. It's little things like that that make some of these books special. The worst part of the book was when all the Bashers were calling the other kids names. That wasn't cool. At least the Krusher's didn't respond in kind, they just kept practicing. And this is random, but I liked that a lot of the kids used the wrong signs with Matt. That was realistic and funny.

Jackie is swinging at the catcher. Honestly, the kid behind him doesn't look much better than him. I like how Kristy is in all USA gear. I know foreigners think we go overboard with the flag and all. I can't figure out what Jackie's shirt says.

I have spent several minutes googling French sporting goods brands and didn't find anything similar, but I think it says "nice men". Maybe it says "ice men" to reference the snowboarder.

That might be Bart on the French cover because Kristy is saying he's cute and she'll do everything to win XD

The Italian ones have been odd. This is cute. Everyone looks good. This is basically a cartoony version of the one above it.

Why did they put a baby on the cover? Everyone on the Krushers at least knows how to walk. You can't steal bases by crawling.

Kristy and the little disaster Gertie goes against it Victory at home, Lisa Christine facing the Matamores (?) Kristy and the little mess Valerie and the “champions” (I like the sarcasm of the quotes) Kristy and the champions

I've always liked Kristy and Bart, so I've always liked this one (even though I'm not into sports). I like that Kristy and Watson get closer in this book, something I didn't really notice (for some reason) when I was younger.
I felt like Bart should've done something about the Bashers teasing the Krushers. For some reason I don't buy him just being oblivious. I guess it's more realistic that way. I don't remember if the teasing continues... maybe not, since they do beat the Bashers in #38 (I think).
I felt pretty terrible for Jackie when he knocked over the refreshment stands then struck out. How embarrassing. I wouldn't have been able to get back into the game if I was in his shoes.
I wanted to see the conversations between Kristy and her friends about Bart. I suppose there wasn't really time, but still. I wanted to see their reactions.

I hate sports and anything to do with it so this is one of my least favourites. I don't like any sports related BSC books and tend to skip them on my rereads. Except this time. In the first chapter Kristy says she just loves sports. A chapter later she tells the reader she happens to like sports. We know already. We don't need to be told every chapter!!
