^It's been so long I don't remember exactly. I did plant three plants and just let them grow on their own. I didn't play music for any of them. I'm sure I measured them from time to time cause I needed to make a growth chart for the end. Basically I just labeled the biggest plant "rock music," second one "classical," and third one "no music," or whatever Charlotte's results were. They were all pretty much the same size, heh. I think my teacher was just happy to have someone turn homework in. That class had quite a few slackers jammed into it.

I agree with everyone that Aunt Cecelia was so annoying. It also annoyed me when she didn't let Jessi go to the BSC meeting. If I was Jessi, I would've just gone to the meeting. I liked how the BSC called Jessi throughout the meeting.

^I'm surprised Kristy wasted all that time and tied up the phone line by making worthless calls to Jessi. Aunt Cecelia wasn't banning Jessi from the club for life, so I don't really get what they were trying to accomplish.

^I never thought of that, good point. Besides, then any time Jessi was awol from a meeting they'd have to call incessently just in case she was being "punished," it wouldn't work to have it be a one time deal.

i'm pretty sure one of the girls tells jessi that they are calling from the kishi's main line, so they aren't interfering with business techinically :]

^Yup, they all took turns going downstairs to use the Kishis' main line. I would have just gone to the meeting and dealt with any fallout after my parents got home. What would Aunt C have done if Jessi walked out the door, anyway? Chased her? Called the police? I still don't understand why the entire family didn't talk about things like the kids' schedules when Aunt C first moved in, instead of letting it go for weeks with confusion and arguing. But I guess we wouldn't have had a book if that had happened. I remember Jessi being annoyed that she had to stick some of Aunt C's belongings in her bedroom, because there was no place else to put them. A table and some other stuff. Jessi's house was supposed to be pretty good-sized, correct? I guess that U-Haul Aunt C brought with her must have been pretty packed.

LOL! I would have just gone to the meeting also. I thought the McGills' former house was huge, too. In TSB, Stacey says something about how big just the first floor of their house is. It does seem like most houses in Stoneybrook have three levels, the bottom floor sometimes is finished, sometimes it's not. Even so, it definitely seemed like their should have been plenty of room for Aunt C and all her stuff. It really was so weird how she almost * poof * appeared for good and right after Island Adventure, too. Do you think she chose then to move in to prevent Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey from ever leaving Jessi in charge for another weekend? I'd still love to know what exactly Aunt C said to them during IA. I am not one for confrontations but in that case, go Cecelia.

It sounded like Cecelia brought her whole house with her. (Or apartment, whatever she was living in.) Even if Jessi's house was large, it was also already fully furnished. I would have been mad too to have old lady stuff shoved into my personal bedroom. Cecelia seemed like the type to hold a grudge if Jessi had damaged anything, and who wants to tiptoe around their own bedroom?

I remember that Cecelia handed her two china eggs and told Jessi to put them in her room because she didn't have space in hers. That seemed silly. She can't find a spot for two knick knacks? Plus, if they ever broke, she'd blame it on Jessi, even if it was Squirt or someone else who did it. I also recall Jessi saying they had to lay a small throw rug of Cecelia's on top of another one that was already in the house. I'm sure that looked fabulous.

^I have to admit that I'm also with Jessi on the issue of Cecelia literally moving parts of herself into Jessi's space. I also never gave thought to how strange it was for Aunt C to move in much like Emily did, except, Jessi/Becca were at least given one day's (weren't they) notice about her arrival.

I cant decide whether Cecelia should have put everything that she owned and didn't want to get rid of in storage, or if the Ramseys should have had to compromise with her and store some of their stuff, too. On one hand, Cecelia is moving into an established home (with children) and I don't know that it's fair for the whole family to have to change for one new person. Plus, it doesn't sound like Cecelia was having to pay for rent, food utilities, etc. On the other hand, Cecelia wasn't exactly coming as a guest...the Ramsey house was going to be hers, too. Plus, she was providing free child care on demand! Not a bad deal, considering the price of day care....

I wonder how long Cecelia's move was in the works? I mean did she literally throw all her stuff into a U-Haul one day (possibly after doing a little thinking and sorting) or was it a progression? The entire Ramsey family might have adapted better had (gasp) they discussed the idea beforehand and if they also had spent more time with just Cecelia so they could get to know one antoher without the sudden pressure of living together 24/7. I know Aunt C lived (presumably with her husband) on the same street in Oakley as Jessi's family but we were never told how close they all were. I never got the impression that they were--close, I mean.

I've thought about that too, starrynight. I can't decide how permanent Cecelia's move in was supposed to be. Would she stay until Squirt started school full time? Until he didn't need a sitter anymore? Forever? Man, I'm picturing the three kids moving out of the house and Mr. Ramsey finally getting alone time with his wife...and sister. Awkward. Putting things into storage for 5-10 years seems like a big expense, but if she was planning on having her own home again someday then I can see why she would be reluctant to give things up.

Cecelia lived in Bridgeport, CT, not Oakley.

^I'm pretty sure she lived in Oakley when Squirt was born. Jessi's chapter in BSC Remembers was about Cecelia coming over to babysit while their parents were at the hospital.
