I think they only went on seven things bc they live so nearby they don't feel like they have to run themselves ragged doing everything. My dad lives in florida so whenever I go it's pretty much the same thing as dawn describes, although my family would never make a list.

I loved the house descriptions in this book! Dawn’s house in California sounds really cool. The Schafers have the coolest taste in houses. Skylights, barns with secret passageways? Both houses sound really cool. I liked the book though. It was cool see what Dawn's California life was like. I don't remember the house description in CA but love the Stoneybrook house. ;D Was Jeff already living in CA full time in this book? Was Mrs. Bruen mentioned? I'm currently fascinated with her so might have to reread if she was. Can't remember when she started working for them. Was the WLK Club in this book? I remember Dawn sitting for Clover and Daffodil but can't remember the actual club. I might just have forgotten about it, though.

^ Yes by this point, Jeff was already living in CA full time, Mrs Bruen was working for the Schafers (it was the first time Dawn had met her and she was thrilled by the food she made for them) and this was the first time the WLKC was introduced to the series and to Dawn.

^ Thanks. I'll have to reread about the WLKC and Mrs. Bruen. Doesn't another book say that Dawn helped start the WLKC or did they just say they got the idea from her? I think this may have already been discussed but I can't remember where.

They got the idea from Dawn's letters to Sunny telling her about the BSC, and they keep the WLKC a secret from Dawn until she comes back to California in this book.

It almost seemed like this was the book where Dawn started changing into the "new Dawn". Agree that she started mentioning CA more after this. Maybe a taste of her old life left her wanting more. If so, I wish this book wouldn't have happened ;D

Whenever Dawn's talking about how everyone in California eats healthy food, I wish she would read Fast Food Nation, since one entire chapter is about how the fast food business basically started in Anaheim. You know, THE AREA WHERE DAWN GREW UP. She would be so horrified.

^haha! that's hilarious! Dawn would freak if she ever found that out!!
I was thinking about the Shafers earlier, and it came to me! -since the Schafer's had such good taste in houses- they could become Realtors! it could add some job variety in Stoneybrook. ;D

I don't know if I'd want Sharon to sell me a house. Then again, maybe she'd space and leave a zero or two off the selling price at the closing so I can get a $1M house for only $10,000.
