I went ahead and bought the Kindle versions of the first 10 books (I think they're all really good and plan to buy 5 of them at a time here and there. Probably not the whole series, but probably at least the first 30). Weirdly, I think parts of them were updated? It says Kristy was wearing jeans and sneakers, when it was originally a jumper. Weird. It makes more sense with her character, but still.
I've read up through Dawn and the Impossible Three, and I have noticed a few others changes here and there. It doesn't ruin the series at all, but I sort of wish it just kept everything from the originals. And if they're going to edit parts, I'm not sure why they didn't update Edie's name to Elizabeth. Has anybody else noticed this?
I do like this one, but it's not my favorite of the original 4 books. I think that goes to Mary Anne Saves the Day.

^ I think it's kind of hard to appreciate this book because it's summarized in every single BSC book after it. lol.

I would have liked Kristy occasionally wearing skirts and dresses. She was a cute girl who underestimated her attractiveness. It’s kind of strange to have a uniform that consists of a turtleneck. No offense to anyone who likes to rock turtlenecks!

^ Me too. I hate that Kristy became this “I can’t even look at a dress” type of person later in the series. It’d make sense for her to wear a dress or skirt from time to time.

I never wore dresses/skirts partly because I thought you had to wear nice shoes with them. Girls rock little dresses with tennies or Converse now. I could handle that! (But also, I'm scared I'll bend over too far and show my rear end to the world. Lol.)
