I was thinking the other day....the clients would all be adults now if they'd continued to age. It's kind of funny to think about. Based on their ages when the series started in 1986..... Jamie Newton would be 26 now, and Lucy would be 23. The Pikes: Claire (27), Margo (29), Nicky (30), Vanessa (31), Adam/Byron/Jordan (32) David Michael Thomas would be 29. Karen would be 28, and Andrew would be 26. Myriah Perkins would be 28, Gabbie would be 25, and Laura would be 23 (unless they didn't make their first appearance until 1987...can't remember) Charlotte Johansson would be 30. Nina Marshall would be 26, and Eleanor would be 24. Jenny Prezzioso would either be 26 or 27...I can't remember if she was three or four at the beginning. If anyone has any others to add, great; those are just the ones I could come up with off the top of my head. It's crazy to think that it would be totally age-appropriate for most of us to date Jamie Newton or Nicky Pike!

I'm the same age as Karen. But since she skipped a grade, does that mean she would have graduated a year before me? Nofe-air.

I think Lucy wouldn't have turned 23 yet. The series wasn't published until August 1986, and she was born in book 3, which took place in... November? Or was it book 2 that she was born in?
I turn 23 next month.

^ No, she was born in book 3. You were right. But....it was 1986, not 1989.

^ No, she was born in book 3. You were right. But....it was 1986, not 1989. Whoops, typo. Fixed it. I wouldn't make that mistake on purpose--I've always thought that it was special that the BSC graduated eighth grade in 2000, just like I did!

I'm younger than all of them That's so weird. I was born a few years after the series started, so even the babies would be older than I am.

^ And I'm a couple years older than all of them. For some reason I always thought the older BSC members would have been born in 1973. Mallory and Jessi in 1975 like me. But then if older BSc were 12 in '86 they'd have been born in '74, M and J in '76. Is this right? Very cool list btw.

LOL wow. I'd be Lucy's age, almost exactly, because I was born about two months after the series started.
The Perkinses first appeared in #9, which must have been published in 1987, and Laura was born in #14, which also must have been 1987 or early 1988, because in Ann's bio, it said the real Laura Perkins was born in 1987.

Lucy was born November 24, 1986. I turn 24 in October, so I'd be closer in age with Eleanor then.
It's so weird to think of the charges all grown up!

^ It really is but in another way sort of cool. When re-reading the books I still envision the charges and bsc members as their stagnant ages but seeing this list makes their many experiences seem more real--like actual glimpses into the childhoods of true kids. I do still wish they had aged in the books though!
BooBoo, where did it say Lucy's birthday? In the "Complete Guide" under Lucy Newton it simply says she is to turn 7 months in July. Do the other kids have actual birthdates? I once figured out from either MA vs Logan Andrea P was born on Saturday, February 15th. The book came out in '91. From Kristy's Big Day, I deduced that DM turned 7 that February. Next time I read a BSC book I'll have to think about the ages!

It's in The Truth About Stacey...the chapter where Kristy and Stacey sit for Jamie and give him a Big Brother party and Jamie's dad calls with the news. The notebook entry is dated. Some other birthdates: Gracie Schafer-Olson was born June 17, 1998, and Lynn Benedict, Claudia's cousin, was born in May of 1996. They'd be 11 and 13, BSC age.

So I'm about a month older than Lucy!
If I remember correctly from Ann's bio, Laura Perkins was born February 1987, but I don't know if that synched up correctly with the series. I don't think it would have, because Kristy's Big Day was published in July 1987, and that's way before the Perkinses are introduced.
