That Kristy snuck him into the apartment and is hiding him from Mrs. Cummings.

I used to LOVE reading books about kids that hid pets from their parents when I was younger. I always hoped I'd get to do it myself, but that never happened. Maybe that's why I never really saw this plot as unrealistic.

starrynight, did you read Ten Kids, No Pets? I loved that book, when I was eight or so, I had an AMM-like obsession with large families.
But, yeah, I think I wanted a secret room more than a pet to hide in it. The secret room seemed really cool to me.

I shared mine growing up, and I never liked that.

one thing that annoyed me was kristy- she never even apologised to Laine's mother for even attempting to hide the dog. she just saw the whole thing as an amusing incident that back-fired

^ Good point! I never thought of it that way. If it had been me, I would definitely have apologized!

I liked reading about the art classes and wanted to draw all those things too.
reading about jessi's love for ballet was also nice, but it's kind of weird how she would randomly start talking to a guy like that and at a young age.

^ I completely agree. I would have NEVER had the nerve to do that at age 11! Heck, I barely had the nerve to do that when I was older.

I always hope to strike up a conversation with someone cute at a cultural event.. but it rarely happens, unless they want me to donate money or buy a season pass.

How come no one went to Soho or vintage shopping at the greenwich village areas of the city near Driggs?
