I personally liked to read about the Big House more. I did like hearing about Lisa and Seth, but at the same time, I liked reading more about Karen's interactions with the Big House people from her point of view, because Kristy and the others were so much more familiar to me. That's just my opinion what's yours? I hope there's no thread for this already, I looked but didn't see one.

^ Definitely agree about them not being as nice. Actually, though, I thought Lisa could be kind of mean, too. (Actually my mom is the one who said that after reading and hearing a few of the LS books. ;D I'm lucky to have a nice mommy, so I'm spoiled I guess. ;D) I think there is a thread for this already. (or something similar) I'll look and see in case anyone wants to see other thoughts on the subject.

I also agree that the Big House family wasn't always nice to Karen as it should have been. I think it had a lot to do with the number of people in the house; With Karen, Kristy, Andrew, David Michael, Sam, Charlie and Emily to take care of along with the assorted pets, maybe Watson and Elizabeth were just overwhelmed by it and got stressed as a result? I voted for Big House but I also really love to read Little House books. I loved the close-knit family they had, reminded me of my house and family ;D. Plus, Seth never got extremely cross with Karen, like Elizabeth and Watson have been known to do in Big House books. Basically, I love to read about both houses .

I like reading about both as well, but think I prefer the little house because it reminded me of my family.

I forgot, Seth did get angry with Karen and Andrew in Karen's Tattletale but that was because Andrew (who blamed it on Karen) left the back door and Rocky and Midgie got out. Midgie almost got hit by a car, I think.
I forgot to add, it's pretty understandable that Seth would be upset about this. ;D

I voted for the big house. I think it is because I have always loved big families and loved hearing about all of Karen's adventures at the big house more.

I do think that Lisa's punishment was ridiculous in that one, though.....

I thought Lisa's punishment was harsh in that one and a little mean, making her not being able to sing her solo..

I don't know, I never really thought of Watson and Elizabeth as being 'more mean' to Karen. Maybe it was just, as someone said, that they had six other children to look after, and they couldn't really pay as much attention to, nor have as much patience with, one particular child. Maybe I'm just more sensitive to W and E cuz they're featured so much more in the BSC books, I don't know.

I finally voted for the little house because it reminds me more of my family and I don't care for some of the characters (or they bug me more at least) in the little house - especially DM. And I feel jealous for Karen's sake over Emily. ;D

^I agree. The big house family kinda bugs me in LS books. I love the big house family in BSC books though.
