I love love LOVE how the Christmas card Dawn picked out for Cam to sign and send to Mary Anne was the overly cute kitten under the Christmas tree. IDK why, but to me that was the funniest part of the book because it is so stereotypically Mary Anne.

I really hate kristys card from he dad. What a-hole actually puts "I do love you". Just say I love you b/c clearly you already know your daughter doesn't think you love her.

^I wish he had said so, too Wiggirl. The very sad thing is I don't think he did truly love his daughter. I don't see how he could have given his behavior. I know there is the saying that some people love in their own odd or strange way and perhaps, a tiny part of Patrick did truly care for his kids. I just always felt awful because (to our knowledge) we never got to see that. I think his "love" was more "I love you if," as in "when convenient for me." I was so happy Kristy finally had Watson.

I hated that part too, he should have just put " I love you" instead what he wrote. I am glad Kristy finally got Watson too because he loved her like his own daughter.

Kristy's letter to her aunt and uncle (the first letter in the book) was really funny to me, because it is so typically Kristy - filling in her aunt and uncle about all the goings-on of the Baby-sitters Club, like they would think it's the most interesting news in the world. ("Who the eff is Shannon Kilbourne, and why should I care that she and her family are going on a ski trip?")
Logan's gift to Mallory seems pretty unrealistic - wouldn't it be quite expensive (for a 13-year-old's budget) to buy a tree?
I think this book actually ends on a kinda sad note, as Jennifer doesn't return home to her family, which was Eliza's actual wish (they do meet up for Christmas Eve, but Jennifer doesn't actually move back home). I think that makes me like the book more - it doesn't have an unrealistic happy ending.

^ well, real life doesn't always have to have a happy ending, and sometimes it's for the better. It's nice to see the BSC be realistic for a change.
