I have never forgotten Kristy in Snowbound, when someone (DM, I think) asks if Bart will sleep in Kristy's room and Kristy replies, "No, Toast-for-brains..." I thought that was awesome

^OMG! I was just thinking about the toast for brains comment earlier today, it always makes me laugh. It is one of my favorite BSC quotes ever.

"Listen to us. 'Think lovely thoughts.' Do you know who we sound like? We sound like Peter Pan, that's who. Peter Pan. We are baby-sitters, not magical, flying boys." (Kristy) Oh, I remember reading this quote! Made me laugh then.

From Chapter 14 of Maid Mary Anne:
Oh, Claudia, I love you. Also, I would love to see this quilt. Heck, I would love to make this quilt someday.

Some more Claudia-junk food goodness:
A bag of M&Ms from the previous winter shouldn't have spoiled, but if the bag was open, they might have gotten stale.

This one I just couldn't get over re-reading it the other day!
Mallory- "You know.. I am so glad you moved to Stoneybrook. I think we make awfully good best friends."
Jessi- "Definately."
Mallory- "But you know what would make my life perfect?"
Jessi- "What?"
Mallory- "Getting my ears pierced and looking more grown up. Or at the very least, more human."
Jessi-"Dream on."
LMAO! How horribly snarky!!

"Do me a favour. Would you mind staying exactly the same age for a few years until I have a choild old enough to be baby-sat for?"Ms. Besser in Dawn and the Big Sleepover I don't get that. When is a child old enough for a baby-sitter? The BSC was always caring for babies and toddlers. Furthermore, in a few years, Dawn would be around 16/17, which would make her more qualified in my book. So why would Ms. Besser want Dawn to remain thirteen?

Mallory doesn't consider herself pretty. She hates her nose in particular. But I think someday she'll be prettier than anyone imagines and there's so much goodness inside Mallory, that after you've known her awhile, she starts to look prettyJessi (Jessi and the Awful Secret) "But Heather was lying on her bottom bunk. She was in the journal-writing phase of the afternoon. I looked at her thoughtfully. She reminded me an awful lot of Mallory. Only in a good way." ~ Dawn, Baby-sitters' Summer Vacation

"Well, that kills it," said Kristy. "I don't want any of my sitters tied up for a week." ... "Not so fast!" interrupted Kristy. "I haven't given my permission yet." Jessi Ramsey, Pet-sitterHee-hee, Kristy really thought she owned them, didn't she?

Mrs. Besser probably thought that anyone older than 13 wouldn't be interested in or have time to baby-sit. That's how it always seemed to be in BSC-land, anyway.

This one is in BSC on board, Mallory is spying on Alexandra: "She paused to look at the ocean and soon a cute boy paused next to her. He smiled at her in this sort of coy way. Gosh! Maybe something like that will happen to me someday." Hehe...I don't know why, but I started laughing hysterically when I read that one. OMG I just cracked up so hard.
