I agree with you, sotypical, that Jenny might actually have friends if her mother wasn't so uptight. I always kind of liked her but never could stand Mrs. Prezzioso.

I like when they're going to the basketball game and mrs. P is wearing a sparkly cocktail dress and mr. P is wearing a rugby shirt and jeans. When I think of him, the words "long-suffering" come to mind

^ I always laugh about that scene. I really like Mr. P and enjoy reading about Mrs. P because she sounds so over the top that she is interesting and funny. Wouldn't want her for a mom, though....

I love the Preziosso's. I even named my latest sim character after them. Seriously though, I always found Jenny really endearing and I actually READ her babysitting chapters. She's not like the rest of the boring charges.

What is the name of the stuffed animal that Jenny gives Dawn in Undercover Baby-sitter? I always thought that was really cute. Jenny can be a sweet kid, I think, and always seems so adorable.

Jenny got a bad rap for being spoiled , but she could be really sweet. Yeah, no kidding. I HATE how the sitters act toward Jenny. If they want spoiled, I'll gladly share some of the jobs I had with them. (I baby-sat for a total of 2 families, plus my cousins kids). They took "spoiled" to a whole new level. There was the kid who hid my car keys in the litter box, the kids who wouldn't go to bed, the ones who just did not listen to anyone, parents included... and then there were my cousins kids. ... there. ... are ... no... words... Anyway, I think Jenny would have been a breeze to sit for.

Yeah,I think so too. I think Jenny's a very sweet and adorable kid. I like when they're going to the basketball game and mrs. P is wearing a sparkly cocktail dress and mr. P is wearing a rugby shirt and jeans. When I think of him, the words "long-suffering" come to mind That scene's pretty funny I enjoy reading about Mr.P And I think it's really rude for Mrs.P to fight him just because he's not dressed like a model or something

Anyway, I think Jenny would have been a breeze to sit for. Seriously! For some reason the BSC seems to equate "prissy kid who likes to dress up and doesn't want to get dirty" with "horrible brat." I can think of about a dozen BSC charges who were far brattier, including golden child Karen Brewer. Jenny always struck me as a really nice little girl, actually. She had her moments, and she definitely liked things just so, but for the most part she seemed like a good kid.

^I agree with you mckay and lyricalangel. Karen was definitely the "spoiled" brat in the series, in my opinion but Kristy thought so highly of her. Karen also had her nice moments, but I think Jenny outdid her! Jenny felt like she had to make her mother happy by being perfectly dressed and sometimes to the point in where she did not act like a child, but a doll.

Before this thread gets off on a "Karen hate" rant (I know there are some on here with an extreme hatred for her. ;D I love her but am not going to bother defending her here ;D), I don't think a comparison between her and Jenny is even valid because of age differences. As for my thoughts on Jenny, I agree that the girls are too harsh but think it's just something to make a big deal out of. That said, I do think she's definitely a brat, though sweet in her own ways, even though she's not as bad as some kids and it's understandable why she is the way she is. I think Jenny's brattiness is what makes her an endearing character. Just read one of my favorite "Jenny moments" in MA Saves the Day when her mom asks how she's feeling and she says "nice and cool." ;D I also love it in MA and Miss Priss where she throws up her hands and yells "The End" at the end of her photo shoot. She does sound adorable and is fun to read about (though I don't think I'd want to actually sit for her or for most of the kids, really ;D)

I relate to Jenny because my mom always dressed me up just so when I was little...I wore dresses with lace and matching hair ribbons every day. In kindergarten she packed my sneakers into my backpack so I could change into them for recess and P.E., and then back into my pretty shiny black shoes for the rest of the day. Leggings and pants came later, but I don't think I actually wore jeans until like, 6th grade.
I love how in one book, they want to change Jenny into her play clothes and discover they consist of perfectly ironed pants or something, and Jenny just has a "told you so" look on her face.
