Maybe it's because I just read Kristy For President and had to endure chapter after chapter of Jamie learning how to ride his bike, but I'm really not that fond of him. He seems so bratty sometimes. I know it's normal for a 4 year old, but maybe it's the brattiness combined with the fact that the baby-sitters all adore him so much. What does everyone else think of Jamie?

Indifferent. Didn't like him in Kristy for President, but he seemed like a nice kid in all the ones. I don't know, I don't tend to have strong feelings either way for any of the clients.

I thought he was cute. He had his moments such as "he butt in the butt!" and ran off laughing like a hyena.

I didn't like Jamie that much, really. He was only a little kid, I guess, but it bugged me how he was sooooo traumatized in Truth About Stacey when the Baby-sitters Agency sitters didn't play with him

I really have a soft spot for Jamie, I think he's cute! The Baby-sitters Agency was a little over the top and I have to admit I like him a lot less when I read Kristy for president (the bike thing is in the top 3 most boring subplots ever or so) but overall I'm quite fond of him!

I like Jamie pretty well, maybe because we share a last name. He can be a little bratty but also cute. I really liked the one where he told Claudia she looked like a rainbow when her tie dyed shirt had gotten wet and run. I think that was Kristy and the Haunted Mansion. He was also really cute in the one where he was afraid of Halloween and Jessi read the Georgie the Ghost book to him. I like his interaction with Jenny, too. The bike riding was a little much, though. I couldn't stand him in that one.

I love Jamie! I thought he was adorable! I didn't find him to be bratty at all, I thought he was sweet. I don't know, all the sitters seemed to adore him, maybe that rubbed off on me

When I used to play with my BSC dolls, my favorite scenario to act out was Jamie Newton being hit by a car

This page has info about all of the dolls, and the guy also has some pictures of them here.

Did the baby-sitters agency let him outside by himself without a hat or mittens, lilafowler?

Not about Jamie, but Mrs. Newton showed a shocking moment of sanity by not wanting the girls to babysit her newborn. Too bad she was punished by hiring the evil baby-sitters agency.
Didn't like how everyone described him as "one of our favorite kids". He was one of Kristy and Claudia's favorites. No one else seemed all that attached to him.

Hee! I'm not sure, what I clearly remember is making my Kristy doll says, "Any new business?" and then raising Claudia's arm and having her say, "Jamie Newton got hit by a car." Then Mary Anne would cry and the rest of my dolls would comfort her. This isn't that weird, is it? It's probably stranger that I would be posting on a BSC message board twelve years later
