Charlotte was in the movie? Weird. I didn't like Vanessa's character much either...or Suzi Barrett for that matter. Since when was she a red-head? She was absolutely adorable though, so that made up for it. More adorable than in the books. Maybe they should have made her Claire of something.

I thought Suzi was hysterical in the movie.

hehe Dawn knocks on the door* "Suzzzzziiiii what are you DOING in there?" Suzi in sing song voice "Shaaaaaaaaavingggggggggggg" that always cracked me up as for vanessa.... I didn't imagine her looking...well..um...fat? Okay that's mean...but you know what I mean....vanessa in the TV series was portrayed with straight red hair and glasses...okay she was annoying, but I thought maybe that was a closer representatino of her even though I KNOW in the books it says she has brown hair they seem to like making the pike kids redheads even if they're not

If charlotte was the quiet girl that someone had to speak up for, who spoke for her? wasn't her best friend becca? and was Becca the girl with vanessa? And david michael looked way to young, and why was karen and andrew only in that one seen? (i have so many unanswered questions about this movie)

I think Becca was the girl with Vanessa because that was the only black girl I remember other than Jessi.

I thought Suzi was hysterical in the movie. Haha, me too. I love the part where Buddy is asking if they can both get in for the price of one and Suzi is like "I've been to the moon!" ;D Although it does kind irk me that she had red hair when Book Suzi has brown hair. What is it with this movie casting redheads into brunette roles?

I thought her hair in the film was more of a strawberry blonde... I still think the kid who played Suzi did a very good job portraying her with all the randomness, "I've been to the moon" and "Alligators like to fly" reminds me of her saying "Think again Buckaroo!" in the books ;D

I was reading a book yesterday where one of the characters says "Think again, buckaroo" and it made me think about Suzi.

okay my movie came in the mail yesterday... yay!!!! Still dont know who the heck charlotte is, and i refuse to believe it's the shy quiet one because that's just so ooc for her...at least later in the series...which is when the movie takes place. (and the credits dont really help either, they just say she shows up after margie cause the credits are in order of appearance)
Favorite snarky moment? Mallory: Are we fighting? We NEVER fight.
Um dear.... you fight in every other book, and this one is mild compared to most of them. It wasn't supposed to be funny but I laughed anyway... and of course her saying "The world must be flat" when Stacey said "Kristy has a boyfriend?" Oh and "I have to go finish my novel" Mallory had some great lines in the movie...made up for her and Jessi not really doing much...since it was mostly focused on the older five members. Not an oscar winner, but I still enjoyed it...and it's been a few years since I've seen it... love love love it.

I watched the movie last week...I hadn't seen it in YEARS. I really didn't like it much. I thought the casting of the TV show was much better. But I did think Mallory was pretty funny. My favorite part was when they were sitting in the restaurant calculating how much money they were going to make at the camp and Jessi says something like, "We could buy a car!" and Mal says, "And in five years, we can drive it!"

Okay just confirmed from IMDB that the two girls...the one that speaks up for the other are Kevin Costner's daughters. I think i read that somewhere but I forgot it...yay for not being Charlotte. Lol
Oh and something I noticed while watching it. The beginning of the movie Kristy takes a call from Mrs. Rodowsky, The sitting job is for Wednesday from 6-9:30 and then she tells mrs. rodowsky she'll be there at 6 o'clock sharp. Can she apparate or something?

I wonder which one Charlotte was then... she was definitely in the movie as she's listed in the cast list.

I just realized something though... when kristy first introduces jessi, there's becca and a girl with dark hair playing hopscotch, I thought that might be charlotte, but her name doesn't appear in the credits until much late,r and it's in order of appearance, and I didn't see that kid again in the movie.

the part of this movie that always, always bugs me is when dawn says, "we've spent some of the best years of our lives in this place." okay, dawn, YOU JUST MOVED TO STONEYBROOK! how did you spend the best "years" of your life in claudia's room? also, stacey and luca isn't so creepy when you consider me and my boyfriend. when i was 13, he was... 23.
