lol the Dawn/Alan thing ALWAYS bugged me! I keep wanting to scream at the screen, "He does NOT like Dawn! Stop it!" lol I'm a little crazy sometimes. I love love love the actress who played Cokie. I love Rachael Leigh Cook too, so those were my favorite parts. I like Larissa Oleynik (I know I just butchered her name lol), but she wasn't blonde enough to be Dawn lol. I thought most of the acting was pretty horrible though, especially Schuyler Fisk. She just was not Kristy to me and her acting seemed very forced. Kylie, Stacey/Luca bothered me too. 14 and 18? Ick. 13 and 17 actually seemed less ick lol. Wow, I'm so picky lol.

It would have helped if the Luca actor had been in the late teen age range, but if IMDb and my math are correct then he was 23 at the time. Luca was a man, yo. I don't know why they cast someone so much older when all the other actors were pretty close to their character ages.

I knew who Luca was from Saved by the Bell: The New Class. I didn't know he was that old at the time.

I think he played a foreign exchange student on SBTB. He was on for one season. That show was annoying. They changed at least half the cast each year.

Yeah, the original was so much better.
I teared up at the bit when Watson is yelling at Kristy, and is all, 'I'm your father, and-' and Kristy yells back 'you're not my father!'

I thought most of the acting was pretty horrible though, especially Schuyler Fisk. She just was not Kristy to me and her acting seemed very forced. I thought she was one of the better actresses. The one who really bugged me was the girl who played Claudia...I'm not surprised we haven't seen her in anything else!

We haven't seen a lot of them in anything else! Well, at least I haven't. I did think it sounded like a lot of the lines were being read straight off the script rather than actually acted out. I really liked the TV series a lot better, even though the acting on there wasn't very good, either.

I'm watching it on my DVR right now (it was on TV this morning!). I forgot so much of it!
Stacey and Claudia are pretty much exactly like I picture her.
If someone looking as young as Mallory or Jessi knocked on my door and wanted to babysit my kids, I'd say heck no. Jessi really bothered me in this movie - she looks soooo young (younger than 11) and not "lean and graceful" like the books always say.
Since when does Kristy wear boxer shorts that she tucks her t-shirts into? They really made her a slob in this movie. She wears really oversized t-shirts. I know she's a t-shirt kind of girl, but I always figured they at least fit.

It was 1995. Big tshirts were in style.

I was 13, when came out into theaters. Just 3 days after my Birthday. I'm not sure, if I saw it on Friday or Sunday. (Cause, we mostly see movies on Sunday) I think, I saw other movie. They were showing previews for it. My parents took me to go see it. I own the VHS. I was watching it online the other day. I was disappointment they didn't show Charlie or Sam. Karen & Andrew had only one scene. You think, they will do more scenes. Claudia's Nancy Drew books out in plain sight. (I didn't know the actress who played Claudia was 17.) Half the kids, I was trying to figure out who. Logan doesn't look like Logan on any cover books. He doesn't have long hair. Was Logan & Alan ever friends in the book? You didn't see any other parents. I thought, the parents were in there. The only you see is Kristy's mom, step-dad, her real dad & Stacey's mom. You do hear Claudia's dad in the background. Asking his daughter,is she studying her test. Mary Anne's dad was just mention in the movie. Who's Emily Haberman in the book?

^Was the other movie Clueless? That's what I saw instead of the BSC movie. I waited for the BSC rental and then tried to play it off like "Yeah, I'll watch that, whatever".

I'm watching it on my DVR right now (it was on TV this morning!) Jessi really bothered me in this movie - she looks soooo young (younger than 11) and not "lean and graceful" like the books always say. her imdb page says she was born in february 1985, so she was only 10 and a half when the movie was released. depending on how long it took to film and go through post production, she was probably cast when she was only nine and maybe even started filming before her tenth birthday. that is so crazy to me.
