Loved her? Hated her? Or loved to hate her? I loved to hate Cokie, she was such fun. Was she ever mentioned again after Friends Forever #8?
Anyway I liked her chapter in Starring the Baby-Sitters Club, she’s obviously insecure and jealous of Kristy because she says something like “[Kristy] always gets everything”. I think Cokie picked on Mary Anne because she was Kristy’s best friend and an easy target.

I liked her chapter in SS #9 also. I remember she was saying something about the girl Ellie who wanted to hang out with her and Grace but "so far we haven't let her. Maybe when her complexion improves" or something. That little comment was clearly included to highlight what a shallow b*tch Cokie was, but really, the BSC weren't much better.
Did they ever explain where Cokie's nickname came from?

^^I don't think they ever explained it. I loved how someone (forgot who-sorry) on the BSCLJ was like 'maybe because she prefered Coke to Pepsi?'  That was cute. That orit could have been a sign later on that she'd have a certain......problem....with a certain....illegal substance (I think someone else mentioned that, too) LOL. |

Where's the BSCLJ?
I LOVED the fact that the BSC had an enemy. There had to be something to cause trouble when there weren't any bratty kids, major weather problems, someone moving, someone's parents divorcing, a mystery to solve, or when Mallory was feeling okay enough with herself that she actually shut up about herself for a few seconds. MWAH Cokie, I love to hate you!

I hate Cokie! Its like she has nothing better to do than pick on the BSC. Is she supposed to be one of the cool kids in school? Or is she just a b*tch cause no one outside her group of friends likes her?

i dont like cokie, but she was always interesting to read about. her love for logan and stalker tendencies were great, but she was a huge b*tch. the only book i ever liked her in was Stacey and the Fashion Victim, the mystery as she was sort of nice if thats possilbe. haha.

I always wondered whether Cokie's hostility toward the BSC was based on her Logan obsession (I think her first appearance was in MA's Bad Luck Mystery, can't remember for certain though).
But then, that doesn't make sense, because Cokie seemed to totally despise Kristy in particular. I wonder what her problem was? Such a b*tch.

I kind of imagine Cokie has been a lifelong arch-rival of Kristy's, she hates Mary Anne cause she likes Logan, and the rest of the BSC by default cause they are MA and Kristy's friends.
I can just picture Kristy and Cokie fighting about some weird thing in like, kindergarten or something and then hating each other forever and ever and ever.

Yeah, I always kind of imagined Cokie was jealous of Kristy because they are kind of similar (both outspoken, the "leaders" of their group), but Kristy is more successful at what she does...good student, softball coach, runs a club, got the lead in the play, etc.

I always thought that Cokie had this grudge that kept developing over the years. She keeps on trying to trump Kristy but always gets thwarted. She's spoiled and when she doesn't get what she wants then she will get madder and madder. I dunno.

I don't really think Cokie is one of the super-popular girls at school. If she is, it's only because people are intimidated by her, like in the movie when her friends allow her to be a total b*tch to them.
I don't understand her obsession with Logan, either. He seems like he'd be too dorky for her. I know he plays a bunch of sports, but he's also in a baby-sitting club and kind of a goody-goody. She should have a crush on one of the Bad Boyz instead.
