^ I wonder why Logan had to be really cute AND smart AND athletic AND sensitive. I think that they should have just made him ordinary, with pimples, have an annoying accent, nerdy, etc. but have MA still like him. And Cokie and Grace too. This could have been intriguing because no one would know why so many girls like him.

I never really hated her, I think if anything I felt a little bit sorry for her. Like most mean, bitchy girls there is usually some sort of reason behind it. There must have been something wrong in her life for her to be so miserable.

I've just reread some random BSC books and had questions on Cokie.
Is she popular? Because in the main books it seems like she is but then in the FF books no-one really likes her. In the FF books she is totally a junior Paris Hilton in training.
In "Stacey's Movie" she seems shallow but somehow not that much shallower than Stacey herself. Cokie talks about boys all the time but at the same time Stacey is boy-crazy.

wow, i NEVER would've thought cokie looked like that. i always imagined her with short blonde hair and really skinny.
by the way, what is her real name again? i know it's not cokie. i just remember them saying her real name in one of the books and they don't know where "cokie" came from.

For some reason, I always picture Cokie as that friend of Stephanie Tanner's from Full House. I think her name was Gia. Maybe this is because I read about Cokie around the same time that I watched her on Full House. Anyone have a way of picturing Cokie? No matter how I picture her, I "love to hate" her. I found her especially pathetic to the point of being funny in MA Misses Logan. She can be annoying but I'm glad she is in some of the books to shake things up.

The girl that played Gia on Full House is the same girl that played Cokie in the Movie. Maybe that's why you picture her?

^haha yeah thats what I was gonna say I think that girl did a good portrayal of Cokie, she had the snotty mannerisms down and looked more of how I'd picture Cokie.

That would definitely explain it! I haven't gotten around to rewatching the movie but think they did a perfect job casting Gia as Cokie. On second thought, maybe I won't watch the movie as I don't want to get new mental pictures of the members. I like creating my own images and already have pretty definite ones.

One of my favorite discussions about Cokie came from Baby-sitters Fright Night. I can't remember it verbatim, but it went something like:
"If you're implying that Cokie's a witch, I think that's insulting witchkind."
"Well, calling her human is insulting humankind," Mary Anne said unexpectedly.
Coming from Mary Anne, that's definitely a zinger. Of course, Cokie DID try to steal her boyfriend more than once.
Despite all that, though, I never disliked Cokie. I kind of liked her for the same reasons I liked Cary. They may have come across as sneaky (or whatever), but they did keep the BSC members on their toes.

^ Love those lines about Cokie Agree about "loving to hate" Cokie - every series needs a good "villain". I just reread MA Misses Logan and I almost feel sorry for Cokie being so pathetic and throwing herself at Logan. But ugggh.... I couldn't stand her in that one. I hate it when girls act like that around guys and also get so irritated when people don't pull their own weight in group projects (but usually I was just like "get out of my way and let me do it right instead of bugging you to do your part and then you doing it wrong" ;D) Totally in keeping with Cokie's character, though.

^ In that one, Cokie read off of the back of the book. And didn't MA and Logan recite it along with her to themselves? How come they memorized the back also? Wait, I'm probably mistaken.

I remember that, too. I don't know why they memorized the back of the book, too. Maybe it was just because they'd read it so much?

Did Cokie ACTUALLY like Logan? it seems to me that Logan was a bit nerdy for her and the only reason she "liked" him was to torment the BSC.
