I pronounce it Shay-fur (but the U isn't quite as Uish... I'm not very good at phonetic spelling)

I don't how to pronounce Schafer. Is it pronounced like "school" or like Dr. "Scholl?" I pronounce it Shay-fur.

^ You don't have to change the way you pronounce it just because others say it differently. ;D I say a lot of names differently than I know they're supposed to be. I personally say "Shay-fer" and "Spee-er"

^ I wonder if someone would be able to ask Ann Martin what the correct pronunciations for some of these names?

Raina, who writes the graphic novels, has in the past. ;D i think she got the correct pronounciation of "Myriah." it's somewhere in the bsc lj archives.

This may have already been discussed but this thread is 8 pages and i should have been asleep hours ago!I always pronounced Kuhn as Kun (like rhyming with gun) but after reading Tiff's blog about 'Mary Anne Breaks the Rules' she says:
"Jake "insults" Buddy Barrett by calling him "Cruddy Carrot," and Cruddy, in turn calls Jake "Fake Prune." Yeah..."
It rhymes with prune??That never even crossed my mind..Now I feel like an idiot:)
