After reading different threads, I've noticed quite a few people talking about how they used to mis pronounce the names in the books. what are some the ones that you mispronounced. For the longest time i read Byron and Brian (maybe because I wasn't paying enough attention. I also read Sean Addison as Seen instead of Shawn. I read Charlotte's last name as Johnson instead of Johannsen. How is Dawn's last name pronounced I always read it so that it rhymed with laugh-er

Like alot of people I pronounced Claudia's last name Like "Kish-ee" (rhymes with fishy) instead of "Key-Shee" and Mary Anne's as "Spy-er" instead of like "Spear". I think Dawn's last name is pronounced "Shay-fer" I knew a girl in elementary school with that last name and that's how she pronounced it. I still want to know how the HECK do you pronounce "Papadakis" though. What I was a kid I said "pap-a-dad-a-kis" which I now see was way off, me adding in extra letters and syllables and all. = Is is the first syllable pronounced like "pop" or "pap"? and is the last "kiss", "keys", "kiz" or what?

I always said Papadakis as pah-puh-duh-kis. No clue if I'm right. As a kid I never even attempted to pronounce Prezzioso. I thought Shea was pronounced Shay-uh or Shee-uh.

I think I was probably the queen of mispronounced names. I was such a dumb child.
Janine= Jan-in Schafer= Scoffer Mallory= "Mall" (as in I went the mall)-ory Spier= Spyer Shea= She-uh Myriah= Maria (and I'm still torn as to whether or not that's right)
I also thought for the longest time that Ashley Wyeth's last name was pronounced like "White", and I have no idea why.

^I pronounced Spier the same way. I also pronounced Ashley's last name to rhyme with wreath.

I mispronounced Spier and Myriah (which I now think is "Mariah"), which I always read as sounding like "myriad" without the d.

I pronounced Papadakis as either "Pop-uh-dah-kiss" or "Pah-puh-dah-keys". No clue which one was right.
