^ There was a lot about them in the LS books but I would have enjoyed seeing more in the BSC books, too. Also more interaction between the girls' families, especially the Thomases, Kishis, Spiers, and Pikes. And the Ramseys and anyone.

I think it's strange how the bsc parents weren't friends outside of dee pike and maureen. You'd think the kishis/richard/elizabeth would be especially close cause they were neighbors for at least twelve years. My siblings' friends' parents are really good friends with my parents and go out for dinner together etc. My brother's friends from high school were bsc-like in their closeness and the moms went out to breakfast together every saturday morning.

^ Especially since the Bradford Court triangle seemed so emphasized.

^ Totally agree. That always really bothered me. I guess they were all just too wrapped up in their own problems to interact with each other. And none of them except Stacey's mom really seem like that good of friends with the Pikes, either. Maybe the books were so busy with the girls' friendships that they forgot about the parents???

When Richard and Sharon got married, the books made a huge deal of the fact that Mary Anne and Dawn were now stepsisters but never really said much about each girls relationship with the others parent. It's too bad because both could have been quite interesting.

I never really wondered about Kristy's brothers and the Brewers because in the LS books Charlie and Sam always seemed very sweet to Karen and Andrew, especially Andrew (towards Karen, Sam was more of a giant tease, and Charlie was just very laid-back about driving her somewhere if she needed a ride). I wondered more about Elizabeth and Karen and Andrew. Elizabeth never really made that big of an impression on me in LS (well, from the books I've read), and I like their interaction in BSC better I think. Her behavior towards Andrew in BSC in the USA always kinda puzzled me, though--she seems to snap at him a couple of times just for being thirsty or needing to go to the bathroom or something. But it's not like they have really many scenes anyway.

^ Totally agree about the Brewer/Thomas interacting in the LS book except I actually like the Brewers' interaction with Elizabeth more in the LS books and see more of it. Maybe it's just the difference in the actual LS books we've read more of. Can't remember how she deals with Andrew in BSC in the USA but the behavior you described, booboo, does seem out of character. Of course, I can totally see how tempers can get short in a cramped motor home (know from experience ;D) and I can see how Andrew could be very frustrating (just read Karen's Tattletale)

I know Stacey was said to have been close to Charlotte's mother but was much ever made of it? I like the idea of a sitter bonding with a client's parent.

^ I really like that idea, too. I know one book mentioned that Mrs. Newton and Claud were close but I never saw that.

I really liked any interaction between Stacey and Dr. Johannsen. Especially in The Truth About Stacey, when Dr. J is telling Stacey about the holistic fad doctor her parents want her to see and then when she writes that letter to her parents. She seemed very caring when it came to Stacey's diabetes, naturally. In later books she frequently asks how she's feeling but I'm not sure of anything beyond that.

I was going to say the same thing, booboo. Stacey makes a few references of talking about her diabetes with Dr. J throughout the series, and often Dr J asks her how she's feeling and stuff which I think is nice.

Just read Dawn and the WLKC and felt for her with being torn between two places and two lives. I wonder if Stacey ever felt like that, too,. Iwould have liked to seen more bonding taking place between Stacey and Dawn as they might be able to relate to each other about that.

^ I've been thinking for a while now that Stacey and Dawn would be a more likely pair of best friends than Stacey and Claudia or even Dawn and Mary Anne. Stacey and Dawn have a lot more in common with each other than their actual best friends. I think they would've bonded a lot over not eating sweets at the meetings, parents getting divorced recently and feeling torn over where to live/who to live with. The only thing Stacey and Claudia seem to have in common is clothes and boys, but even so, Dawn seems pretty interested in those things as well.
I would've liked to have seen a three-way friendship between Claudia, Stacey and Dawn as well. They seem to be the 3 bad-asses of the BSC (well, bad-ass in the BSC sense), and I think watching them hang out together more often would've been fun.

^ I never saw Dawn as bad but maybe stealing the credit card? ;D A friendship between Dawn and Claud would also be interesting, especially after their experience in Island Adventure. More rivalry or conflict between any of the members other than Kristy/Abby and Kristy/Dawn would also be interesting and realistic.

People have mentioned these, but I've always wanted to see more Stacey/Mallory, Shannon and everyone (dude, who doesn't want more Shannon?), and more of Keisha in general.
Jessi: Keisha was my best friend, and my cousin. We were born on the same day and lived on the same street and saw each other every day. Then I moved a couple of states away and spoke to her three times in the next twelve years.
In the epic fanfic I plot out in my head when I can't sleep, I think there is going to be plenty of Stacey/Dawn and Kristy/Dawn in the first installment.
