It's been stated a few times on this board that many relationships were underdeveloped. Which ones did you feel weren't developed enough? Or which characters did you wish shared more scenes and more was made of their connection? Here's what I think:
Mary Anne and Sharon: Mary Anne hasn't had a mother since she was a baby so when her dad got married again, I thought more would be made about it. Stacey and Mallory: They're possibly the two BSC members who were most different from each other but they lived close by and I think it was mentioned that their moms were friends. Somebody else also mentioned that it's Stacey who's most complimentary about Mallory's looks. I'd like to have seen more of a friendship between them. Claudia and Carol: In California Girls, it's mentioned that Carol is an artist. Wouldn't it have been great if Claudia found a kindred spirit in Carol, maybe because Carol believes in her when her own family doesn't? It would have caused a lot of conflict with Dawn who didn't like her at the time. Jessi and Keesha: It was mentioned many times that Jessi was best friends with her cousin Keesha before moving to Stoneybrooke. She seemed important in Jessi's life so why was she never featured after book 16? As somebody else said, a story about Mallory and Keesha would have been great.

Kristy and her brothers: I'm very close with my brothers, and I thought it would have been nice if they'd developed their relationship a little more. Sure, they showed up when it was convenient, and I especially loved the Kristy/Charlie relationship in Mind your own business, Kristy
Kristy and Watson: Just like with MA/Sharon, Kristy hadn't had a father for a long time. I would have liked to see them work at their relationship more, and see it develop as more of a father/daughter thing. There were some sweet moments, like when she said "my father" in Mr. Mom.
Shannon and the other members. I liked Shannon a lot, and it would have been interesting to see her have more of a role in the books, and even a best friend in the club, besides Kristy.

Never thought of a few of those like Stacey and Mal but they would have been great. As for Kristy's, I think they did a decent job with her family relationships, better than a lot of the other ones they could have developed like MA and Elizabeth, Charlie, Sam and Janine, Claud and Kristy, Claud and Dawn, Stacey and Dawn.... This list could go on and on for me ;D

^I agree about Mary Anne and Elizabeth. In what way was Elizabeth a mother figure to Mary Anne, as stated in Mary Anne Saves the Day? We never saw that. I would have loved to see Mary Anne and Sharon grow closer too. Watson and Kristy made a lot of progress throughout the series. I think it would have been cool if Kristy called him "Dad", since she really can't call Patrick that.

Was totally going to say Richard and Jeff! Also agree about Jessi/everyone, Mary Anne and Sharon, and Claudia and Carol (that's a good one).
This one may be odd, but Claudia/Grace came to mind. I like how they developed a little bit of a friendship in Claudia and the Recipe for Danger and how Grace seemed like a pretty okay person when apart from Cokie. I think she even goes to a BSC meeting in that book.

^ I don't think so. I always got the impression that Jeff never even gave Richard a chance. He was horrible in Family Feud. This is one thing that made me dislike Jeff. Of course, I also don't think MA gave Sharon enough of a chance and would have liked to see a closer relationship between them. I never got, either, why she wasn't close with Elizabeth.

^To be fair to Jeff though, I think it was a normal reaction for a 10 year old boy. You've already got a father, why do you need some stiff, uptight lawyer as a stepfather? He probably didn't think Richard was "cool" like Jack, but I bet that in time he would have warmed up to him.

^That's true. Richard didn't really have anything in common with Jeff. He wasn't athletic and Jeff hated the museums that Richard took him too. But Richard did try. I know it was awkward for him too. I remember in Dawn's Family Feud Richard told Sharon he was only used to raising daughters and had no idea what to do with a boy.

I would've liked more Kristy/Dawn. Actually Dawn/anyone other than MA would be cool. I always wonder how she interacts with the other girls, I just don't see how she fits in. She's kinda in the middle - at times she's one of the "cooler" girls and other times she's with Kristy and MA.

How about Kristy's brothers and the Brewer kids (especially Andrew)? A lot was made of Kristy's relationship with them, especially Karen, but not much was said about how her brothers related to them. I would have expected to see more about Karen and David Michael because they're the same age and David Michael no longer being the littlest brother might have been an interesting topic to explore. How did Charlie and Sam get along with Andrew anyway?
