I get complimented for my writing by random people (I'm very proud of my neatness, so yes, I'm bragging! ;D) and it's like Kristy's, so maybe that's why I think hers is the neatest. I'm biased, I guess, heh. Mary Anne Spier, I would love to see your writing! I have never seen writing like MA's from anyone younger than... about thirty, really. Most of the people I know your age write like chicken scratch.

^ The handwriting of kids that age doesn't bother me as much as the lack of punctuation/capitalization and the use of letters as substitutes for words.... (Mary Anne Spier, you don't do this. You write correctly - a teacher's dream. ;D) I always like the hearts over Stacey's "i"s but don't have the patience to do them. ;D

^it's not just kids. Adults do the text messaging too. I hate it. It's not that hard to write out the THREE Letters in You. Look -- it's Y - O - U. Three characters. That means that you save less then a second of time typing out the entire word as opposed to just the letter U. It's so aggravating.

^ Glad I'm not alone. ;D At least none of the notebook entries have that. It's a bad habit for kids to get into (as I yelled at my little cousins about today ;D)

My past classmate, this big, plump boy,who hates school and loves fights, his handwriting is very, very, unreadable.

^ You're only 12? Wow! You write great, grammar wise and the like! Well, that's how old my sister is, too, and she's also very good at grammar and spelling.
Also agree about chat speak, aln and Penny Lane. I don't mind 'lol, lmao, brb' etc, in msn mostly (and lol sneaks it's way into these posts, sometimes, too, but thats okay). What I don't like is when people are like 'Wat r u dewin 2nite?' That drives me crazy! Is it so hard to write 'What are you doing tonight?' It took me longer to write the 'chattified' sentence (Haha, I don't think that's a word ;D) then the grammatically correct sentence!

^I so agree. I have to think twice as hard to figure out how to translate my proper grammar into "netspeak". (Or is it textspeak? I don't know anymore). Why drop the "h" in "what"? What exactly does that accomplish? Oh, and "prolly" drives me CRAZY. wat u doin 2nite? Prolly jus chillin? do u wanna go 2 da club wit me? I mean, come on! What does that accomplish? Sorry for the random rant. I really don't mind LoL and sometimes I say stuff like WTF and BTW into my vernacular speech and it's kind of funny (at first I can make a joke out of it) but then I realize that it's really just kind of sad.

^ Hehe, I said 'lol' aloud not too long ago, and I cracked up just after the word left my mouth, so my sister didn't know what was going on. I mean, I've said it out loud before, trying to, but this time I literally didn't mean to - the word just slipped out, lol.

Glad for the agreement on the "netspeak" ;D When I was yelling at my little cousins about this yesterday, they gave me the excuse that they "don't have time" to write correctly. I think it takes more time to write incorrectly. ;D At least this wasn't around when the books were published so they didn't feel the need to include it in the girls' writing (though I prefer to think the BSC wouldn't have written like that - even Claudia, or at least not on purpose ;D)

^ Exactly. ;D It takes just as much time to write it wrong.
