That's a conclusion we've all reached here.

I kind of like Kristy, but becase we have so much in common, I don't think we'd get along.
We are both athletic, wealthy, and like things to be our way.
I'm little(15 1/2 years old, 4'10", 95lbs), and she is short. My parents have money, but I do too. I think I had about $406 just sitting in my pocket the other day(BTW, that was my hard earned $, not my parents').
When I say little, I mean short and skinny and looks younger than she is. When I hear or say short I think not very tall. A lot of people can be short. I just call myself little mostly because it describes me better, and it actually sounds better, too(just as a word). I was just stating that Kristy and I are similar becuase we have money. I didn't mean to be rude or anything by it.

You're actually shorter than her. I think she is five feet even. And aren't little and short basically the same thing = small in stature?

I think she's trying to say she is short and very skinny. She must think she is skinnier than Kristy was in the books.
And no offense, but you are fifteen. Your parents are wealthy, not you.

Anyone who actually has money doesn't talk about it, unless you are some sort of Hollywood trash. Gosh, this is really annoying. No one wants to hear how wealthy you are.

Another person who never really liked Kristy growing up. However, now I appreciate the fact that she's a lot more "layered" than some of the other characters and I like how she speaks her mind. Out of all the baby-sitters, Kristy is the girl I would most want to be friends with.

^ I agree. Out of all of the girls, I would want to be friends with her the most. She's really spontaneous and would probably be the least boring of all of them. She does seem more "layered" to me also, but that may just be due to what I remember from the series.

I like Kristy in her own books a lot, in the other ones she's just okay, but I didn't like the bit about her being immature like putting straws up her nose.

^That was just weird. It's like something Sam would do, not her.

I think she starts sitting the director's chair (at least, that we're told) in #3.

I agree. I think Emily was closer to Nannie because Nannie always looked after her. Karen and Andrew seemed to love spending more time at the big house because there was always something interesting going on.

I like Kristy best in her own books since then I can understand why she says and does the things she does. Also, I never liked how Kristy was deemed immature because she wasn't interested in fashion and boys.

^Yeah, I didn't like her being deemed immature for that, either. I liked clothes and makeup as a young teen, but not the way that Claudia and Stacey did. I also didn't really start liking boys until I was 14.
