The more Claudia books I read, the more I like her. Her books are some of my favorite, which is something I never really realized before. I loved Live from WSTO! and I really loved Claudia and the First Thanksgiving. I also really liked Clue in the Photograph. I think she's really funny, and I like how she is actually very independent. I know that title goes to Dawn, but Claudia, I think, deserves it more. She does her own thing a lot of the time.

I love Claudia's books as well. I think she was my favorite growing up, and I still enjoy her character a lot. She's very funny, and I can relate to her artistic inclinations.

After reading the Janine thread, I don't like Claudia as much as I did before. She was so mean to her totally without justification.

I do like Claudia, but she is lazy. Even a second grader can spell better than she can.
I can relate to her with the "art is better than school" thing since I am an artist, too. I still think that she could do a lot better if she tried.
Claudia's house has always been my favorite(I can actually guess what it looks like and everything).
When I read my first book, I was like, "OMG she's so much like me!". That's mostly because we both love junk food and store it in our rooms. Plus we both love art and are always being compared to our sibling(s).
The only things we don't have in common are that we look and dress nothing alike, and I am organized.

I like Claudia too, but don't really have much in common with her besides a love for chocolate. I don't think I can even draw a straight line....lol.

^I hear ya, bscgirl10. I can't even draw decent stick people. It's a little depressing actually. I could always color inside the lines though.

People can be terribly difficult to draw. The only time I can draw them well is if I'm working from a photograph.

I used to really like the Powerpuff Girls when I was younger, and I was actually pretty good at drawing them. This is about the only thing I am capable of drawing, though. I'll just leave the drawing to Claudia.

I got pretty good at drawing "guy with headphones and messanger bag with spikey hair" and his girlfriend, "girl with curly hair, baggy pants, messenger bag and tank top, with belly ring" when I was in high school. ... But I never really moved past that.

I mean,I'm also an artist, and I'm (not to brag) also known as one of the smart ones in my school. Yes,Claudia can do better at school if she tried, but why isn't she trying? 'Cause she always think that she can be a successful artist without school, and that's just wrong. That reason's not enough to fail school. It's just a physiological thing. She always thinks she's very good at art,but not at school. And she always thinks that these stuff at school are hard. But if she just tell herself that these things aren't hard and she can do it,I know she can. And I want her not to be jealous of Janine, but for her to see that Janine's a good example, and think that she can achieve what Janine has achieved. And I totally agree with you about the spelling thing. These are just my opinions,no offense to other people who disagree.

I say the same think to people during fastpitch games. when they walk up to the plate telling themselves that they're gonna strike out, they will! all they have to do is try and they could get a home run! same thing with claudia!

This is a random thought, and it might have been brought up before. The Kishi's don't allow Claudia to read Nancy Drew because it isn't "quality literature". The sitter's sometimes mention that this rule is stupid because at least she's reading SOMETHING, and I've always thought that was a good point. But it always kind of amused me because BSC is junk food reading, too.
Was Claud's hiding her Nancy Drew's a message to young readers "if your parents won't let you read this because it's not literature, buy them anyway and hide them around your room!"?
