Do you think that Claud's bedroom overlooks the front or backyard? Don't they mention seeing the "for sale" sign down on Mary Anne's old house when the Hobarts move in? Then it'd face the front.

^Good memory, Greer, they did say that. IIRC, they also saw the Hobarts move in. I think Kristy watched Susan Felder and her mom take a walk from Claud's window also so that might doubly suggest her window faced front.

I always assumed it faced the back for some reason. Although I'm reading Stacey's Emergency at the moment and it says Kristy looks out the window to see if Charlie is there. But in Claudia's Freind Friend, when they're trying to figure out who sent the notes, couldn't they have realistically been looking out the window the whole meeting (or alternate who looks out so that someone's scouting the whole time?)

And interrupt their meeting time? I don't know if this was something that was consistent/in the BSC "bible."

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the "BSC References in Daily Life" thread. I just watched a Touched by an Angel episode "Here I am." It takes place inside in an art museum. One of the characters has a painting hanging in the gallery but has never understood why he painted it or really why it matters. At the end a young boy who was on a class field trip to the museum, shows the man, Antonio was his name, his (Morgan--the boy) painting of what was missing in Antonio's. Antonio's drawing was of a black rectangle underneath a gold one. It was supposed to be land and sun. Now, I fully confess to not being much into "art" or art museums, sorry Claudia. I thought of our friend Claudia when Morgan shows Antonio that what was missing from the painting was a seedling. A small sprout of green saying "here I am." That helped Antonio to realize that he really did make a difference to someone. Claudia was a lot like Antonio and I was realizing, especially after talking with Candykane , that maybe if Claud's parents had stopped and listened more to her, had really tried to learn who their daughter was, that might have made all the difference in the world. I'm not much sure on exactly how Claud's art would look in "real" life but was always so glad she found a lot of joy and comfort in it.

In Sea City, Here We Come, it's mentioned that Claudia brought her VCR remote to school thinking it was her calculator...

How can Claudia mix those two up? Calculator has a screen on it. A remote control doesn't have no screen. Even I know, the difference. I have mild cerebral palsy.

Maybe it was a small screen. Maybe the calculator was partially covered when she grabbed it and left. And maybe I'm going Claudia too much credit.

I love this! So cute and funny. I loved the Mimi references, too, especially the one where Claudia wishes Mimi were there to see her art exhibition.

Given how terrible Claudia dresses (at least in my opinion), I wonder would she go to school butt naked if she thought she could get away with it?
