^ It seems that Mallory's hated on not only in the books but in the TV series as well. Mallory was cute in the TV show though. At least she had that going for her. I actually thought she was one of the prettiest ones in the group.

^I thought she was pretty as well. Mal and Jessi on the show were so much better than the ones in the movie.

Really? I thought movieMallory was prettier than tvMallory (in fact, I think movieMallory was styled too prettily for the role). I don't have the same complaint for tvMallory: "Sorry, Mal. Ann hates you." And that is why I prefer tvMallory.

lol, not a very flattering picture. I like the episodes where her hair is longer.

I think it was a week ago when I read an article online and it's about girls that are late-bloomers. It said that younger brothers might delay their sister's puberty they might demand that their sister assume care-taking roles, and we all know that Mallory is like a second mom to her siblings. If this article is true, then this is another unfortunate event in Mallory’s life.
I could put up the link to the article, in case anyone wants to read it.

Didn't that also say something about how close together mom's pregnancies are?

Found this at last! I thought of this thread when I finished #9 earlier today. When Mrs. Pike takes Claire, Margo, and Vanessa to the mall for haircuts (before school starts) she leaves Mal and the Triplets at home with Dawn. This was the famous Dawn finds Nicky in the passage chapter. This read around struck me that once again "poor Mal" got the short end of the stick. Maybe until #21, she really never had gotten an official haircut? (at a salon). I did have to give Dee credit for taking three of her kids somewhere without a BSC member.

Just finished reading "Kristy and the Mystery Admirer." Mal did have a great time at the dance with Ben, so that was good. However, she was a clown and her big shoes made it hard for her to dance so she had to take them off. Ann really couldn't resist any opportunity to lay into Mal, could she? I mean did we really have to hear about the shoes? Who cares. If they (the shoes), like MA's, had struck Mr. Kingbridge in the head that would have been different, but sheesh all that happened was they were cloppy. Poor Mal.

It didn't even say what Ben was.
Kristy and Bart were lobsters. (They won the Free Pizza for their "Most Unusual Costume.")
Mary Anne and Logan "Were a witch and Frankenstein."
Stacey and Kelsey "were just dressed up."
Dawn was "Alice in Wonderland."
Did it say what Claudia and her date went as? Or Jessi who like Dawn went Stag?
