What about Claire throwing up on Mallory's shoes in Stacey's Ex-Boyfriend? I can only imagine how disgusting it is to have vomit on your shoes.

That must've been embarrassing for you, greer. Well I don't remember it, and then they were just like "OH YOU PUKED ON ME." no big deal.

In the BSC movie, Mal (and Jessi) were the only ones without a sub-plot. (Mallory saying, "I'm writing a novel about the first nurse in America." - or whatever - doesn't count).

Mallory also bought the ice cream cake that melted. If you don't have a copy of the DVD, everyone is smiling on the DVD artwork except for a mysteriously cross-eyed Mallory. Lol. I still don't think she was hated as much as used for comic relief.

Yeah, you're right - Mallory was a scapegoat in the film, too.

I've always liked Mallory. She is my favorite character. She was the only character I could truly relate to. Plus most of her books are my favorites. Anyway, I don't believe Ann hates Mal. I do believe, however, that she doesn't have strong feelings as much as the other sitters. I wish there was a Mallory episode in the TV series. It could be about Mal meeting Ben for the first time or the plot of Mallory on Strike. A Mallory subplot in the movie would have been interesting. Okay, I admit writing a novel about the first nurse of America is boring and dorky but still. It could have been the plot of Mallory on Strike.

This is why Mal is my favourite because I can relate to her. She's the underdog and everybody loves a good underdog right?

She really does hate Mal. Why does she feel the need to send her away to boarding school? On that topic, it was funny last night when I got my own copy of All New Mallory Pike in the mail from Amazon and my dad was looking at it. He said, "is this when she goes to college? Is it set in the future?" and sounded confused. I started to get annoyed with him for asking a question like that and then realized that I've been "making" him read a few BSC books so he was confused. I said, "oh, you know who Mallory is" and he answered, "yeah - she's a Pike. She has 7 brothers and sisters, is 11 years old and a junior member" and started quoting off more of her stats. It made me laugh. He likes Mal, too, and agrees that Ann seems to hate her. You dad sounds awesome for reading the BSC-I could never make my own dad read them

Ann does hate Mallory, heh heh. That's funny and sad at the same time. What are the good things that happened to Mal anyway? She's the only sitter that didn't have a tv episode. In most of the super specials, she doesn't do much except for writing in her journal. She's forced to practically raise her brothers and sisters. Mal got chicken pox twice even though that's rare. She doesn't have much friends at school. Only Jessi and the BSC. Then again she's not allowed to have a life outside the club. *eye roll* She got mono. She gets bullied and shunned a few times. Whenever she says something, the BSC members try not to laugh at her. She's incredibly awkward around boys. All the other sitters are cool and relaxed. I do snark on her a lot. She is one of my favorite sitters. But she's pretty realistic. A lot of tweens are awkward and not all that pretty and clumsy and all. But she's practically nothing compared to Kristy's great ideas, Stacey's oh so sophistication and NYC background, Claudia's artwork and fashion sense, MA's sensitivity and her steady boyfriend, Dawn's individuality, and Jessi's ballet. So yeah. Has anyone noticed that in the chapter 2s the Mallory paragraphs are very brief. It's just "Mallory isn't feeling too pretty lately. She has this unruly red hair and freckles and a stocky body figure. She also has glasses and braces. She hopes to be an author and illustrator when she grows up." Everybody else's are more extensive.

Not only that but they actually get to send her away in the All New Mallory Pike. Then Ann admitted that she wouldn't know what Mallory did with the rest of her life.
Yep, she hates her. I kind of wish that they kept Mallory a client. She was treated well as a client more then a sitter.

(And #9 to #13 she was a babysitters helper.) They should've kept her as a client till maybe third or fourth year of 8th grade. Even then she'd be a sitter longer than a client...

Well she never got an episode in the Netflix series either. Another strike to Mallory (although that could be Netflix’s decision).

I don't think I could have handled a Mallory narrated episode. Good lord was she exhausting.
