I chose Mary Anne Saves the Day! I like snarkiness of their argument, MA meeting Dawn, the subplot of MA and Richard's relationship as father and daughter and I love the sitting job for the Pikes

^ What was the Pike sitting job in Saves the Day? I need to reread as it's been a while but others keep popping up on my list and I never get to it. ;D

It's the one where MA and Kristy aren't speaking to each other and trying to sit for them at the same time. They play Chinese Whispers with the kids with MA saying into Adam's ear that 'Kristy Thomas is a nosy bossy busybody' and the message comes back "Cranky Tommy's nose is a bossy busy boy" and "Tell Kristy to start the game" becomes "Tired carrots take the blame" ;D Then they eat dinner and thinking MA and Kristy are playing a game by asking Mallory to tell Kristy something, they start playing the same 'game' such as "Tell Claire she's a hot dog head" until eventually Claire herself says "Claire you're a hot dog head" ;D

^ That was a good one. ;D The poor kids but at least they think it's a game at first. Reminds me of playing "telephone" with my friends. ;D

I chose Phantom phone calls because I liked the whole Halloween spooky feel to it. It was hard to chose though I love all the first four books

*gives up on trying to do the quote thing* In the book it was Telephone Aln (at least in the states)... guess they called in Chinese Whispers in Ireland? Interesting

Chinese Whispers is a cool name, though! "Tired carrots take the blame," haha...I'm making that my new sig.

I've never heard it called Chinese Whispers. Now I'm thinking of Chinese Red Light.

Yeah, it's always been Chinese Whispers here, too. I guess maybe it's not PC or something?

^ Maybe. Everything in America these days has to be PC, so that's probably why I've never heard it called that.

Wow I didn't know that they don't call it Chinese Whispers in the US! It's really funny because the early books in the BSC have so many obvious translation changes! I should write them down sometime!

^ YES! So do heaps of my early books - you can see that they've been edited as well. Seeing them say "Mum" etc just seems so wrong.

I don't remember anything about Chinese Whispers, either, but it doesn't surprise me that the US books wouldn't use that. I've never heard of it at all, in fact. "Telephone" no matter what it's called can be fun, though. ;D

It reminds me of Chinese Checkers.
