As most of us know, the series was originally going to be only four books. I'm just curious to see which one if the favorite among those of us on this board. I'm voting for "The Truth About Stacey." I always liked it, but after rereading lately, I realized that I like it a lot more than I used to.

Yeah, I loved the Truth About Stacey. I like em all actually. Love the spooky feel of Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls, the Snarkiness of Mary Anne Saves the DAy, and of course the first one is what started it all... The third one, I dunno. Loved the relationship between Char and Stace, and I LOVED her trip to NYC in the end... and... just... everything. *shrug*

Since #2 was the second book I read (the first being #15), and because I loved when there were thunderstorms and mysteries in the BSC involving ghosts and phantoms, I loved #2 the beset. #4 was ok because it was interesting reading how my favorite baby-sitter joined the club

Hard to pick a favorite, but Truth for me. I like reading about the Baby-sitters Agency conflict, Stacey and her parents, Stacey and Charlotte, and Lucy's birth.

^ It IS really hard to pick a favorite. I like them all, too, but now that I'm seeing the books a little differently as an adult, "Truth" won.

I haven't even read MA Saves the Day yet! My favorite so far? I have a hard time deciding between Kristy's Great Idea and the Truth About Stacey. The first one has some parts in it that always make me laugh (Kristy unknowingly getting herself into a dog sitting experience, for instance- though of course, I wouldn't be laughing if I had to watch those huge dogs ;D), and I enjoy reading about Kristy bonding with her future step-siblings (I've always liked the Karen and Morbidda Destiny conflicts ;D). It also has some sentimental value for me, I guess, being that this is the book where everything started and all. The Truth About Stacey is my second favorite if not my first. I really like Stacey's character in this one, and I love the Baby Sitters Agency conflict- the whole book is great, really. The very first books seem to be the most well-written ones in the series. Overall, though, I tend to favor many of the later ones for some reason. Maybe because I prefer reading about them when they seem older than their real age ;D.

^ I also tend to favor the later ones when they seem older. I think that's what I like about the BSC compared with other series of this level - they are like mini-adults but with the innocence of younger kids. I really like Truth but voted for Saves the Day, probably for sentimental reasons as it was one of the first ones I read. I also like the subplot better (don't like the subplot in Truth) and it has two of my favorite charges - Jamie and Jenny. ;D I do like a few parts of Great Idea - Kristy and Karen - but don't care much for it or Phantom Phone Calls.

I'm finding it hard to choose between Truth About Stacey and MA Saves the Day!
Those first four books were great.

As most of us know, the series was originally going to be only four books. Wow, I didn't know that. You learn something new on this board every day . Anyway, my vote is for MA Saves the Day. It's on my top favorite BSC books list and is my favorite out of the four.

It's so hard to pick just one! All four of those books make my top ten list. I just think the first books are so much better, it was pre-time warp, and all their characters were less cookie cut-ery. I guess I would have to go with Mary Anne ! (It probably changes with my mood)

I guess Mary Anne because it's the first one I remember reading.

It's a hard choice. Truth was my first BSC book. I love MA though. I do love the Feldman chapter in Phantom.

^ I forgot about the Feldman chapter. I always love the Feldmans and wish they would have been in more books. ;D

^Me too. They were fun to read about. I loved Jamie's response to them. And when Kristy whistled.

LoL. The Feldmans seemed so crazy to me! The one that just ran around screaming? That's hilarious! Rob hating girls? Weird, but so real and funny.
Oh, Kristy. You and your whistle.
