I always like Dawn's foods better when she describes them. Of course, the pizza is my favorite and cheeseburgers, too ;D I think Claud's junk food sounds the most disgusting, especially thinking of where it has been stashed. All I can think is that it probably tastes like smelly feet from being in a shoebox or something ;D

I know, Claudia's junk food always sounded like it would be gross. I used to keep food in my room too (not because my parents didn;t allow it, but because if I didn't keep my junk food in my room, my brother would have eaten it). Of course, my room was relatively clean, unlike what I imagine Claudia's room looks like, and I never kept chips and cookies in there. ;D She probably didn't close up her chip bags and stuff all that well, so I'm surprised that she never had an ant problem or some other insect infestation.

If she did have an ant problem, Dawn would probably get on her case like what she did in SS1 to Kristy. Although, maybe not. Once I went to my friend's house and there was a plate and ants all over it. I asked my friend if she was going to do anything about that. She said no. And that was that. So maybe they just ignored the problem too because they were too busy with club business.

^ Yuck! The thought of bugs anywhere around food is so gross. Not to mention the stale factor. Reminds me of how my grandma used to insist that freezing cheerios kept them fresh and using a chip clip on an open bag made them keep for weeks. She also didn't realize that pop expired.... None of this is true, of course. And chocolate does go stale ;D

^ Seriously. Claudia needed to have had a small fridge in her room.

My little brother knows a girl at his school who actually DOES have a fridge in her room, stocked with candy bars and ice cream that would make Claudia jealous.

I never really thought of how gross Claudia's food would get...but I can imagine a lot of it would go bad or stale after awhile...suddenly a room full of junk food doesn't sound so good...not that it really did in the first place.

Just read Mystery Money and it has some of my favorite food descriptions. All of it sounds good with the exception of Claud's stuff and Stacey's tuna fish at the beginning. The best food description books for me seem to be the one where they go on dates because they usually have cheeseburgers and pizza which are always my favorite. I'm also a fan of the LS spagetti descriptions and the dinners at the Little House, especially.

Karen's Magic Garden had some really great food descriptions of the stuff they eat at the family reunion and their seafood and clambakes in Maine. I'm not a big seafood fan usually but this book evne made me want to try clams ;D

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, butr the three cheese macaroni and respberry crisp that Mrs. Bruen makes for dinner in "Dawn and the We Love Kids Club" sound delicious. I would actually want those recipes!
