^ The three cheese macaroni always sounded good to me, too. So did the grilled cheese that Dawn and Travis ate in Older Boy. BSC can almost always make cheese sound good even though I actually don't really like it much. ;D

I'm a really picky eater, but after reading through this thread some of these foods sound really good...

The frozen Milky Way that Claudia plans to treat herself to in Claudia Makes up her Mind (I think it’s that one) sounded good. Usually, Claudia’s candy sounds gross but this at least didn’t sound stale and I like Milky Ways. Had forgotten how good they are frozen and now might have to try one myself. ;D

I used to try to freeze candy bars after I heard about Claudia doing it. I hated how they turned out. They were hard as a rock and you practically broke a tooth trying to bite into them!

That happened to me too once when I tried to freeze a snickers! I thought my tooth was going to break!

^ ;D I did that too until I realized I needed to let them thaw a little bit. Of course, the trick is letting them thaw just long enough. I hate hot, melted chocolate (or any kind of food that is hot when it isn't supposed to be like crackers, chips, etc.) more than anything, though, so that's probably why the frozen candy sounded appealing.

Milky Ways are definitely the best frozen candy bars.

Yeah, anytime Claudia mentions any kind of candy bar--Milky Way, Three Musketeers, Twix--I get such a craving for one!

I find frozen candy bars are easier to manage when you buy the miniatures, not the short fun-size ones, but the teeny square-shaped ones. I throw them in the freezer and then do something quick before I can forget about them, like get the mail or put my cell phone to charge, and by the time I'm done, the candy bars are frozen enough that they crunch when you bite into them, but you don't need dentures after eating them (well, unless you don't brush your teeth).
Yes, I have my candy-eating down to a science, rofl.

No joke -- my first year of college, my roommate and I would go to the dining hall with a jar of marshmallow fluff (one of us would stick the jar in our backpacks) in order to make fluffernutters, because the food was so bad. I discovered fluffernutters when I babysat my neighbor's kids, and I found out how delicious they were! (the sandwich, not the kids!) Anyway. I love reading Dawn's Big Date for the food descriptions. I'm a big fan of hummus, so I love reading about how she makes it, but the taboule (sp?) was a big let down. The parsley makes it taste awful. I'm wondering if soybean pie really tastes like pumpkin. I do like a good slice of pumpkin pie...

I LOVE the food descriptions in that book. I always want pigs-in-a-blanket after reading it. I'm also a big fan of hummus, but I've never tried tabouli or babaganoush. Dawn makes them sound interesting.
