Shrimp is one of my favorite foods. Aln, if you go to Red Lobster popcorn shrimp is my favorite. It's yummy!

Shrimp is one of my favorite foods ever It seemed like she usually took a single something when Claudia passed around her junk food, like a single Oreo or Mallomar. I think I remember that because of the way it was written...in one instance, she "delicately" took an Oreo or something. Ah, the things you remember...

I think she was a lot more strict when she had a production going.

Oh, I adore seafood. I saw Ina Garten roast shrimp on her show; way easier than pan-frying them and tastier than just steaming. She put them in a pasta salad, but when I made it, a good number of the shrimp never made it to the salad, oops.

Did anyone ever think that maybe AMM had an obsession with lobster? She mentions the characters eating lobster, and she even had Kristy & Bart dress up as LOBSTERS for halloween. I mean, c'mon!

I could never eat lobster, for some weird reason I have never been able to eat seafood.

^^Yeah, but eastern Connecticut is hardly known for their lobster. I agree with janey83--AMM had an obession with lobster. Maybe she thought of it as some exotic food. (I personally, love lobster and shrimp.)

I think the books are actually set in Fairfield County, but, yeah, it was a joke.

I always wondered how Claudia bought all her delicious junk food without her parents knowing? At 13 did she walk to the store on the way home from school and load up each day, using her babysitting money?

^^That's what I think. I always wondered how she got it when she was younger. And how did she get money to buy junk food when she was younger? Mimi?

^ ;D Did Mimi secretly like junk food too or were we just joking about that? Sometimes reality blurs with "maybes" in my mind. ;D As for the lobster in CT, we have some old friends that own big sea food restaurants in CT and this mention made me think of them. ;D They are actually near Hartford, though, so not right by Stoneybrook but CT is a small state....
