My dad gave me my first BSC book, the BSC #18 "Stacey's Mistake". He loves to read books too,and he buys me a lot of books. "Stacey's Mistake" isn't my first pocket book though ;D. I really LOVE reading books, any kind, but my favorite books are The Baby-Sitters Club(Of course ;D) and Sweet Valley Twins So,who gave you your first BSC book? And why did dad, mom, bro, sis, grandpa, grandma etc.,etc., gave it to you? Was it your birthday? Christmas? Tell your stories here!

Whats a pocket book? I thought it was a purse My mom signed me up for the Collector's Club at the end of first grade, so for many years I received 3 books a month. I remember reading The Truth About Stacey while I was at disney world ;D.

I got my first BSC from my Grandma. I went shopping with her and my mom. She let me choose a book for being good. I chose The Truth About Stacey. ;D

oh ok, i've seen them as a specific brand name, but i've never heard of them being used to describe the BSC books.

My mother bought me a Little Sister book (#6) when I was little, about 5 or so, because she loved the fact that I was a big reader and was always trying to encourage me to read more.

I bought my first BSC book with my pocket money. I'd exhausted the Sweet Valley Twins series and spent about an hour trying to decide which one to get. I bought Boy-Crazy Stacey.Good times..

My mom found my first BSC book (Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls) at a yard sale and brought it home for me. I was a huge reader and many more BSC books followed.

Mine were hand-me-downs from my older brother who used to read them. He had about 15 or so of them... now my collection is around a 100! The first one I read was Stacey's Ex Best Friend.

I think I got my first book myself (My mother bought it for me, but I picked it out.). It was #15, 'Little Miss Stoneybrook... and Dawn' and now I can remember what number that book is with about half a second's pause. Talk about storing useless information. ;D

Either my mom gave it to me, or I bought it myself after borrowing other people's books.

My older cousin had Logan Likes Mary Anne and didn't want it (she was outgrowing BSC- she would have been on the oldest end of the demographic for it) so I got it.

When I was little my dad would buy me a paperback when we went to the supermarket, and I got a lot of my BSC books that way. I think the first BSC book I got was "Mind Your Own Business, Kristy!"

My aunt gave me my first one - Mallory and the Mystery Diary. I still remember that she brought it to a 4h meeting and said she saw it and thought I might like it. A good friend of mine was really into the BSC but I didn't know what to think about it until I read the book and loved it. ;D The interesting thing is that same aunt got me my last book to complete my collection last year. ;D
