Oh, that's right. Not really a sub plot, more of a connected plot.

My favorite subplot is from "The Ghost at Dawn's House" where Margo and Vanessa wash Claire's hair with the concentrated shampoo.

I like the Snow White and the Seven Zorbs subplot in Jessi and the Bad Babysitter. I liked that the kids thought of the idea, and wrote the script, instead of the BSC doing it. Margo's shoplifting was kind of a subplot in that one too, but I thought the way they handled that was kind of dumb, and was over right after it started.

I don't know if I'd call it my favorite, but I really like the subplot in SS 13 with Mallory and that crazy Wellfleet lady. I think I like the subplot more than the actual plot. I wish it would have been drawn out a bit more, though. But still, it was nice to see Mal come out on top for once!

I liked the subplot in Mallory and the Trouble With Twins, where Mallory got her ears pierced.

ITA, Starlett. I would have MUCH preferred a lot more of Stoneybrook and a lot LESS of Hawaii in SS #13. So if Mal/Mrs. Wellfleet had been developed better/further that would have been great. I also think that book would have been an opportune time for Kristy/Mal to reflect on Mal's time in the BSC. Not at all in a confrontational way, merely as way of conversation, rememberizing even, since they were the only 2 members in CT.
I think my very favorite subplot was the Thanksgiving Carnival in "Get Well Soon, Mallory." I enjoyed reading about the planning, shopping, and wish there had been more info highlighting the actual event as it happened as opposed to a rehashing.
A few other favorites :
I thought the girls research of ghostly spells in MA and the Bad Luck Mystery was hilarious.
I liked reading about the "Valentine's Masquerade" in Stacey's Ex-Best Friend. In those "days" of the books, the various activites with the Charges came across as a whole lot more genuine and fun than later on when previous ideas were recycled in less than interesting ways.
The mail order craziness in "Stacey's Choice" always makes for a good laugh.

not sure if it's subplot technically, because it's where the main plot takes place, but i love the alice in wonderland party in abby in wonderland. i love when gram elsie's friend (what is her name?) brings a whole boatload of props from her theater, and they get to decorate and dress up and everything. i always wanted to have a theme party after that.

^I know this 3 years+ in coming but I just looked it up and Gram's theater friend was named Molly (begins on page 60). Molly sounds a little like Claudia because Abby tells us Molly wears big, colorful outfits. I enjoyed Abby's Grandparents and would have liked reading more about them. I did think Mrs. Pike was awesome in the sub-plot of this book when she squirted her sons with the super soaker. I know most of you prefer the non BSC charge related chapters. I'll be first to admit that there are times especially in the later books when those moments seemed to be thrown in just because that I don't either. But in general, I do love the BSC kids and would rather read about them and their adventures (maybe not Jamie and his bike) than the fighting between the girls. My very favorite sub-plot will always be from Get Well Soon Mallory. This year I made a more personal connection with the "Friends" song that Marilyn and Carolyn teach the others. I also agree with you Abby Stevenson that it was sweet how the charges made the baskets for and visited with the residents of Stoneybrook Manor. I do wish we had gotten to read more about that. My other choices from above are still true and in fact I should read MA's Bad Luck Mystery soon for the Jamie and Georgie the Ghost but also how very funny the story is. I was also thinking that a lot of the LS sub-plots are often more related to the main plot than the BSC ones. Is that true or am I just feeling badly for Natalie after reading Karen's Kite? I'll have to pay more attention to this when I read the LS books.

I think in some LS books the subplot takes over; Karen's Cartwheel comes to mind.

6. The subplot in The Truth about Stacey when the BSC was competing against the Babysitters Agency.
7. The subplot in The Truth about Stacey when Lucy was born.

^ That's one of my favorite sub-plot as well.
My other favorite sub-plot Is when Claudia and the Marshall girls were chasing Chewy down the street, when Claudia let go of the leash.

When the BSC deals with the competition from "The Baby-Sitter's Agency" in The Truth About Stacey and how Kristy goes about using all the means she can think of to prove themselves better than them.
