Since Greer started a thread for the worst subplot, I thought it was only fair to start one for the best ;D I have a lot that I like and it is really hard to chose my favorite. I think there are acually more that I like than don't like, though a lot of them are just okay. Just thinking quickly, my favorites are the Jenny and Andrea subplot in MA vs Logan and the carnival at the nursing home (the actual carnival, not the shopping part really) in Get Well Soon Mallory. Actually, (even though I know I'm probably alone ;D) I like almost any carnival or big event, though sometimes they do get a little boring and tend to all run together.
Modifying because I just read msstock's post on Fashion Victim and was reminded of my favorite subplot - the smokeout. I loved the cigar funeral and can't believe I forgot about that one. I also enjoyed the subplot with building the playhouse in Music Box Secret.

^ I have no idea what my favourite subplot is (I should think about it for a while and get back to you all about it), but that reminds me how much I like reading about any time the sitters go to Washington Mall. Did you guys ever picture it as looking like a particular mall you knew? I always pictured it as looking like Mic Mac Mall in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

all the malls around me are only two stories, so i kind of picture a generic 1980s mall.

oh wow I honestly can't think of any subplots off the top of my head that I really enjoy. I usually skim subplots cause it's too much babysitting. maybe I'll think of some as I re-read some more (prob gonna read a book tonight) or be reminded when others post. eta: okay after reading the new posts on the board I'd have to say the mail ordering scheme in Stacey's Choice is hilarious and I love reading about all the junky things the kids got (YOU'RE one of the 25 people with moon sand, too?!") and how excited they were to get the mail and stuff. That's def one subplot I will read without skimming

^me too, sotypical. it has so many good comedy moments. like the ill-informed play about "bust development." i wish they had described that skit in more detail. plus i can relate because i would have loved to order stuff out of magazines if my mom would have let me, and i loved to call toll-free numbers. i was pretty weird.

I had forgotten Stacey's Choice, too, and loved that one. Also the haunted house in MA Breaks the Rules. And lots of the Pike sitting chapters tend to make me laugh. In fact, I usually like the random sitting chapters (except usually not the ones about Charlotte).

I LOVE the one in Stacey's Choice. Everything about it. I especially like the triplets rapping and Mr. Pike saying "Well heavenly days!" Hahaha.
Another one I like...the one where all the charges are watching too much TV. I think it was in Abby's Lucky Thirteen.

My favourite subplots - - Snow White and the Seven Zorbs from Jessi and the Bad Babysitter - I love Suzi in this one, with her "Think Again Buckaroo!" ;D - The kids' order mania in Stacey's Choice - Pike Plague in Dawn's Wicked Stepsister - Arnold Twins' fight and Gozzie Kunka in Mary Anne and the Great Romance - Stoneybrook Manor carnival in Get Well Soon Mallory (even though most of their bloody carnivals drive me insane, I like this one . - The Delaneys and their swimming pool in Poor Mallory. - The sitting job for the NYC kids in Stacey's Mistake Also probably any subplot that involves shopping I love

I like the Seven Zorbs cause I love Suzi Barrett. And I also love the one with all the mail-order items from magazines. Probably my favorite subplot is Claudia/Josh breaking up in Claudia and the Little Liar, because I don't rean the main plot in that one with Haley, I skip that and read the Claudia/Josh stuff. I can't remember the last time I read all the Haley stuff in it but I love reading Josh.

What is the missing ring shopping trip?
I also hate the haley stuff, lauren... Haley is just a terrible person in that book.

Oh I love reading about the Delaneys in Poor Mallory, even though I feel really bad for them. Karen was really nice to Amanda in that book though and I liked that. I love the Delaneys even if they are brats. I always felt bad for them.

She's so awful in that book that it even makes me retroactively hate her whenever I'm reading about her in earlier books. Well, that and her rattail make me hate her. There's something wrong about a girl with a rattail.
(Edited to add that I'm talking about Haley... sotypical posted when I was writing my post!)
