That changes everything. I wonder if Mary Anne ever found out? I am currently re-reading "MA and the Little Princess." In it, MA says "Kristy is her all-time best friend." I wonder if she would have still said that had Dawn been living in CT and/or the two of them been close friends still now that they were apart. I hope she would but admit to sort of doubting it.

She didn't. Dawn said that she could write it down in her journal because she knew no one would read her journal/no one would ever find out what she wrote.

ITA, Psychoseal, and Jessi's parents. I wouldn't have expected any client to call anyway. actually, i wouldn't be surprised. stoneybrook parents can't seem to make a move (or do any sort of parenting at all) without the bsc there to help :]

^Lol, how true that is, Oldhickory (Good to see you posting btw). Also, if school really did begin the next day, the parents might have wanted to get a heads up on "reserving a sitter" for the week ahead. As we also know, most of them can't even go out for an hour without having a sitter at home. (I don't mean leaving their child at home, I meant taking the kid with or doing whatever during the school day).

I didn't feel very sympathetic to Kristy since she was so unreasonable about everything. I think she could've been more flexible about not every member being at a meeting if they had an obligation that interfered with that certain meeting, such as Jessi possibly having ballet lessons on Friday and Mallory joining a creative writing group for a few weeks. I liked that the girls had other things to do that interfered with the club meetings but it did seem like it was only for this book.
I could understand why Kristy was the most upset about the club being broken up since she's the one that created it. I know it's not mentioned in this book but in Graduation Day, it's pretty much confirmed that the club is the most important to Kristy.

I have to agreed that the storyline was a bore! But I do love the fact that the book is shiny.

So the book, in a way, is a big let down because, as soon as you open the back cover, you see book 101 advertised -- so you know that the club doesn't break down. Also, I remember I got this book in the Scholastic book order as a package with book 101. They came wrapped together

Or was it book 99 and book 100 that came together, and book 101 and 102. Does anyone remember?

Who in the Goddess is Moon Pinckney? Moon is mentioned in the beginning of Chapter 10 when Kristy noticed Abby babysitting a couple of kids in the neighbourhood. Is "Moon" mentioned anywhere else?
Some parts of this book were funny. Abby got a lot of well-placed snarky comments to Kristy that made me laugh. But some parts were annoying. For instance, there was a lot of "ancient Sanscript -- isn't it Sanskrit? -- thing going on all the time in this book. You know what I mean. When one character corrects the other. Usually they do it with the clients but in this book it's actually Kristy looking dumb a lot. In the Sanscript case, it was Kristy correcting Claudia. So one moment Kristy is way off and the next she's on the ball.
Also, Mary Anne and Claudia's fight was dumb. They've been through worse than an argument over an art project with sitting charges. (Although, in the book, I side with Mary Anne and I think the way it was written you were kind of meant to?)

^Yep Moon, Sheila, Kyle, and possibly a couple others were "recruited" by a desperate Kristy to fill in for the absent (vcationing) Krushers. I clearly remember that Sheila came dressed in an Stacey-like baseball and her grandparents? were toasting each other in the stands...something wacky like that.

Been long time, since I read this one. I dislike this book. I laugh when Kristy say hang the apples on the tree. Been better if they went to a farm & pick the apples from the tree. Who name their daughter Moon? nothing else to say. Since their really wasn't subplot in this one. (I don't think)

Moon was a boy and it was a nickname.
