I've listened to this on Audible a couple of times now and enjoy it just as much as I've enjoyed my many re-reads of the book. The narrator does a great job of doing distinct voices for the characters. I never used to like listening to any audiobooks, but the BSC audiobooks are a lot of fun.
I like the bond that forms between Stacey and Claire during the vacation, particularly during mini golf and their early morning walk to the beach to gaze at the ocean.
For some reason the Stacey/Claire bonding never stuck out to me when reading the book, but I noticed it right away while listening on audio.

^ Aw I never noticed Stacey and Claire, I always liked the Byron/Stacey bonding. I wonder if the Pike's ever saw Stacey as if she was another older sister to them. Especially since she lived so close and was their mother's helper at Sea City multiple times.

Stacey/Claire was definitely sweet. If I was being sat by her I’d definitely admire her as a cool older girl. Her carrying Claire on the cover is among my favorite cover pics.

Anytime there were two sitters and they had to choose which kids to go with, I felt like Stacey always went with the boys. I feel like it happened over and over again in the Sea City books and really stuck out to me.

Scott is not wearing beach friendly shoes. The kid has a questionable hairstyle. Stacey could be Maureen. Scott looks kinda hot. Stacey's dress is a little pirate-y, but I like it. Stacey and Mary Anne look like twins. Some title translations: Crazy Stacey for the boys Petra is in love Boy-mad Susan ( ) Sophie’s loves Sophie is in love Lucy is in love Stacey the crazy guy (?) Stacey gets a crush

Scott could be 35 on that Spanish cover. Yikes. He looks like a dad helping his two kids.

One more. This is cute. She would write that in the sand. Her school notebook covers probably had Stacey + ten different boys names crossed out.

^ Your comment makes me want to have Stacey have a notebook and each page is filled out with a different boy's name and how it's love this time.

I honestly love this cover. Stacey looks like a mini-adult and I think I had that shirt in elementary school.

I loved this one! It's a lot of fun. I even liked the Kristy babysitting chapter.
I'm realizing that the early books involve a lot of club members who aren't best friends bonding. It's really nice to read about. I really like Stacey and Mary Anne paired. Stacey brings Mary Anne a bit out of her shell I think (Kristy does too, but she can walk over her a bit). I liked the fight they had- very realistic and I can see both sides (although I really don't think Mary Anne needed to apologize. She's technically in the right. I'm meaning that I found Stacey's behavior understandable). I can see them becoming really close friends in high school. They're both girly with a nerdy streak.
Scott was creepy and he should know better. He should know that a 13 year old girl would take his flirting seriously. I'm glad that Stacey was smart enough to realize he didn't specifically like her, though. I think her thoughts on it at the end were actually pretty mature.
I love that this shows Stacey's insecure side in the beginning, with her being nervous about how to behave in a mansion. Lol! I like how they all seem to actually act like 13 year old girls in the early books. Also, I'm surprised that Toby was Stacey's first kiss, since she'd gone to dances and stuff before.
I'm not sure why, but I have a soft spot for the Pikes. I don't like kids, so it's truly bizarre. I think Nicky is my favorite after Mallory and I'm not sure why. I guess I just find his character more realistic.

^ Nicky is easy to feel for since the triplets gang up on him so often and he can't relate to the girls. It often seems like the poor kid has no real place in the family.

I knew a girl growing up who became pregnant at 12 I’m glad Stacey’s parents instilled a sense of self-worth in her. It doesn’t always happen.

As an adult, Stacey going for older guys is concerning. I didn't think much of it as a kid.
