Poor Charlie, he's only there to drive Kristy and her friends and Sam...um, well, he prank calls the BSC? He's hardly ever there. Charlie gets paid, though; he's not driving them for free.

The death of the Thomas's beloved dog was so realistic...poignant how all four of the Thomas siblings all cried.

One of the most emotional books for me, because of Louie. Hated that he was killed off. But if he were 13 years old, that would make him 91 in human years. The part where everyone cries over Louie's terminal state always gets me. I feel like Kristy should have been tough with the Delaney children although I liked Stacey's reverse psychology. In regards to Shannon and Kristy becoming friendlier over Kristy's threat, I'm thinking maybe Shannon realized in the spur of the moment how ridiculous she was being...and like she said when she talked things over with Kristy, she was simply jealous. Also, while Karen was being pushy about the funeral, I didn't think anything of her inviting the Delaney children, Hannie and Linny or Shannon and her friends..I mean, she is friends with the Delaneys, Hannie (in that case they would know not to talk bad about Louie), and perhaps she was on friendly terms with Shannon as well as the other girls..she would not have known Kristy hated her unless Kristy told her or she was spying on both of them. That part with Jeff, although having such big talk about not spilling and then knocking over his dinner was frustrating, I loved the yelling part.

ANM was always really good at portraying grief. This, Claudia and the Sad Goodbye and Sunny's Diary Three are all so well done.

Why would anyone spend four hundred dollars on a cat where you can adopt one who really needs a home ? It's crazy and Kristy was a bit judgmental of Shannon. Just because she was rich didn't mean she was a snob. I felt like Kristy provoked her .

I like this one. It looks like a scary one with the dark clouds and creepy ginger kids in the background. (Actually, it's probably just bad lighting from whoever uploaded the picture. Why would they all be walking around in what looks like a thunderstorm? Lol.) Louis looks great but huge.

In French, it's simply "Kristy's New Neighbors"

Louie looks really healthy here! He's still walking independently and has a shiny coat. I know a cover with a dying dog probably wouldn't sell, but it's still nice to see him looking good.
"Kristy's new neighbors" implies that the neighbors just moved in. "Kristy's new neighborhood" would be better.

They do have the snooty girl posture down. This is unflattering. Put your tongue away, Miley Cyrus! The doggies look good. I like how Louie's looking straight ahead and smiling. Translations are a mixed bag: Kristy and Snobs Lisa and the nibblings (?) Kristy vs. the pretentious group show off Kristy and the snobbish girls Krista’s Move

Translations are a mixed bag: Kristy and Snobs Lisa and the nibblings (?) Kristy vs. the pretentious group show off Kristy and the snobbish girls Krista’s Move I can't get over the Italian cover; it's hilariously bad. What's up with Kristy's expression? This has almost nothing to do with the book. This is my favorite Kristy book, but omg is it hard to get through. It was even sad to read as a kid, but it's worse as an adult, since I've said goodbye to a couple of pets since then. Hits too close to home. I've never been a huge fan of Shannon tbh (the babysitter, not the puppy. I love dogs), but she does grow on me in this. I do think she went too far with her pranks though, especially the fire. Not cool to scare the kids like that. I feel like this book makes you want to know more about Shannon, though. For the most part, the series doesn't really deliver on that. I've always liked Amanda and Max Delaney and I have no idea why. I've never liked kids and can't stand bratty kids. I guess I just find their... brand of brattiness amusing? I actually really liked the babysitting chapters in this, especially Stacey's silly reverse psychology. The fight with Dawn and Jeff was rough too. This isn't a very happy BSC book, which I actually like for realism purposes. I don't remember much about the buildup to Jeff's move, so I'm interested. I only cried three times while reading this so I think I did well lol.

I also liked the Delaneys and I think because beneath the snobbishness they were decent kids. No mean streaks.
