I think this book just feels so odd for her character... it feels lime AMM is trying to say something about a letter she herself got or something? Venting her frustrations somehow? Idk. Mal's idea of fiction in this is beyond stupid and I just don't buy that she actually believes what she says. Whoa, I wonder if this is true. Ann's letter to the reader is all about her fan mail so she could be hinting at this. It's so out of character for Mallory. It would be better if this plot belonged to someone else, and Mallory was one of the people saying that it isn't true. Maybe Kristy? She probably reads the least and is the most prescriptive in general. Yeah I agree that Kristy might be a better pick for this plot. In a way, I can imagine Dawn pulling this too. She's weirdly judgmental at times. My other theory on this book- and I meant to say this in my initial review- is that this book is Mal's revenge for some of the crap she put up with in earlier books (getting mono, getting chicken pox, bring the butt monkey in several Super Specials, etc). If I think of it that way, this book is slightly more bearable, but it's still too OOC for me.
