Will mentions how his grandma recently passed away, and soon Mimi passes away. Even with that piece of information, it seems like Will and Claudia have a lot in common. He was said to be punk and I can see her liking that creative, different style in a guy.

I just reread, and Claudia and Will are still my favorite Super Special romance. This was the one instance where it didn't bother me that they spent mere hours together and claimed they were in love. Their connection seemed a little more authentic. I would have liked to see Claud turn to Will for support when Mimi died. I THINK that happened right after this book, given all the foreshadowing about Mimi's health.

Just reread this today and poor Stacey. She had a hard time with it all and I couldn't stand Mary Anne in this one, but overrall I liked this super special and looking forward to the next one.

I just read The Boxcar Children book called The Bicycle Mystery. In it, a boy comes back from a camp called Camp Mohawk. I wonder if it's the same camp. The series is even set in New England.

I was a BIG fan of the Boxcar Children so now I have to assume that they went to the same camp. I could see Benny playing with the younger charges and just having a blast.

I thought the BSC CM was actually in upstate NY.

Or it's a sort of obvious name to give to a fictional camp!

I still want to believe it's the same camp! When you think about it, it really isn't a very innovative name so I'm sure there wasn't any deep thought put into it, but it would kind of fun if whoever wrote this one named it Mohawk as a reference to the Boxcar books (I believe it was Ann but I don't have my copy on hand so I'm not positive).

Which one was written first, the Boxcar or the BSC one? That's a later, ghostwritten, Boxcar.

Summer Vacation came out about a year and a half earlier. Never would have guessed because the Boxcar Children series started so long ago. And I didn't realize that the Boxcar series is still releasing books until today. It's been 91 years since the first book and they are still going!

I would love if Benny made friends with one of the BSC charges! He's my favorite of the 4 Alden kids though they all are great. I love Watch and Grandpa, too and how they take care of everyone. I'm not a big fan of crossovers but have thought before that the BSC could have found a playhouse in the snow (The 3 M's find one on Shadow Lake instead like Bobbsey Twins Play House Secret or could have had a Snowbound vacation adventure the way the BCC did. I can completely imagine the BCC helping the BSC with various projects and even some advertisting the way they (BCC) do for a local Firehouse in one book. Back to this book of BSC Summer Vacation, I will need to reread the Claud and Will parts and even maybe how Heather helps come to the rescue with Dawn's group.

In the original (first 19) Boxcar Children books, time passes, but it goes back and warps after, which makes even less sense than the Stoneybrook timewarp.
