For many years I wrote "Katie Marie Lastname" on my papers, which was a compromise between "Katie Lastname" and "Kathleen Lastname". . Your full name is Kathleen Marie, and you go by Katie? You are the first person I've ever met (besides me) with those specifications....

^I've always thought Kitty is a great nickname for Kathleen Marie. The "Kitty" nickname is fairly new, I've been called Katie since I was born, but my friend nicknamed me Kitty a few years ago.

Yes. I don't know why that's the case. I've been called Katie all my life, so i'd have to ask my parents why they began that way, instead of calling me Kathy or Kate.

i feel like her middle name should be something old fashioned, like lucy or alice.

I'm surprised her middle name isn't mentioned in Karen's Haircut when she goes through the list of new, fancy names she likes.

I recently read "Karen's School." Andrew tells us his full name is Andrew Edward Brewer. Was ever an Edward Brewer mentioned--assuming Andrew was named after a family member? Anyway, that made me wonder more about Karen's own middle name. Maybe it was Ann.

Well, the ghost that haunted Ben Brewer was Edward Porter, Ben's childhood best friend You know, Karen Ann seems very likely! (Or Karen Jane?)

^I forgot about that! Andrew would probably not care for being named after his great grandfather's ghost enemy/friend, though. Now, Karen, on the other hand.
