I won this book off ebay, and it arrived today! Much excitement.
Claudia, in a postcard to Janine: How are you and who are mom and Dad?
Gee, Claud, I'd hope you'd know who your own parents are...
I think my favourite secret is Stacey's one. And least favourite is Dawn's.

Oh, but she wasn't *really*! All they kept inthat safe was cash!
I love this book, but man, major cringe when I got to Jessi's and Mary Anne's letters. And when I got to Claudia's, I cried a little on the inside.

LMAO! Oh man, that's good.
I won the Secret Santa book off eBay a while ago, but this is the one I REALLY want. I can't remember everyone's secrets, though. Stacey dyed her hair red and then back to blonde, IIRC. MA went to Dr Reese. Other than that, I've forgotten!

Heh, I read this yesterday, and I've forgotten a lot of secrets. Jessi burned a hole in the carpet... Dawn lied to Mary Anne about Cam Geary being on their plane. Mallory... ? Kristy... ? Claudia... ? Man, I'm hopeless. And I call myself a fan.

Kristy's secret was that she hates her father.
Mallory's secret was that she looked at Jessi's paper during a test. Then Jessi writes back and is like, "Yeah, I saw you! And I was really mad! But I forgive you now." They are so lame.
I'm completely blanking on Claudia's secret. I'm sure it has something to do with being stupid though.

A whole dollar?! Oh my Lord!
Wasn't Logan's secret like, I love Mary Anne or something? Or did Shannon and Logan not participate?
I loved the friendship bracelet and photo strip and stuff that came with the book!

I've never gotten to read this book- wish I could find it somewhere. If Logan said that waas his secret, then big whoo- like everyone in Stoneybrook didn't already know that?

I love this book. I like it better than Secret Santa. Although I was still really happy a few months ago to find a cheap secondhand copy of Secret Santa that was in excellent condition except it was missing the friendship necklace.
What was Dawn's secret? I can't remember it at the moment.

Didn't someone say that Dawn's secret was she sent MA a postcard that was supposed to be from Cam Geary?

Oh, I totally didn't notice what Jen said before, but I was looking at this thread again and now I see it. Mary Anne and Dawn were on a plane and Dawn said she thought she saw Cam Geary, just to mess with Mary Anne's head, and Mary Anne spent the whole flight trying to catch a glimpse of him and Dawn never admitted she made the whole thing up. That's pretty mean. I don't know if she sent a faked Cam Geary postcard later. I know in Secret Santa, Dawn writes to Cam Geary and convinces him to send a real Christmas card to Mary Anne.

I just got this in a lot from ebay, I LOVED IT!!! Seriously I loved loved loved it. I liked Kristy's secret, it was really sad though. I also liked Mary Anne's. Claudia's was stupid, Stacey's was pretty stupid. Mallory's made me laugh. So did Dawn's. I think I just really liked this cause their secrets made them seem like actual real girls, not perfect mini adults. Although Claudia's guilt over $1 was a bit weird.
Oh! And how they kept bringing in stuff about the friggin answering machine. SO FUNNY! "Claudia wants you to call the BSC line and see if the answering machine picks up" LOL and then Claudia wanting to know where Dawn's mom sent their broken answering machine. So hilarious.

I think I just really liked this cause their secrets made them seem like actual real girls, not perfect mini adults. I agree, that's what I really liked about this book. Actually, I thought the whole concept of it was pretty cool. I love how you can pull out the actual letters and how the girls all write on stationary and stuff. Kristy's secret was sad, just the way she explained it to Stacey and kept hoping that Stacey wouldn't think badly of her was pretty touching. Mary Anne's, too. Dawn's was so lame! Ooh, she played a trick on Mary Anne, what a deep secret. I liked Jessi's because there were SO many times when I was a kid that I spilled on the carpet (never burned a hole in it though) and tried to cover it up by moving furniture or a rug. It never worked! Mallory's was awesome, I was shocked that she actually cheated on a test! I also thought the answering machine thing was hilarious! Oh, but I thought Stacey's secret was kind of weird. Is it even possible to dye your hair red and then back to blonde in one afternoon without totally ruining it? They should have made that a book, it would have been fun to read.

I'm pretty sure there isn't because you don't DIE your hair blonde (unless you're already blonde and going to a different shade). You've got to bleach it. Or if the hair is already died, strip it. I've died my hair a few times, from blonde to bright red, and there sure as hell wouldn't have been any way to get it straight back to the original colour in one afternoon...
