^ me neither... I don't remember much about the other two Rodowskys, to be honest.
Always thought it was incredibly unrealistic how Jackie was scared of the crocodile costume in Peter Pan. He was much too old for that.

I once watched a talk show where one lady had a terrible fear of cats and another was petrified of clowns. Maybe Jackie had a traumatic experience while reading about Tic Toc the Crocodile in Peter Pan as a small child??? ;D

I thought it was weird Jackie was so scared of the croc, too. Esp after they showed him it was just a person inside. I would think most kids would think that was totally cool.

I know someone who is terrified of people in animal costumes. Like if she went to Disney World and Mickey Mouse came near her she would literally run away. People can have the strangest fears.

But he was fine with it once it was Jessi inside it. Did he really think Pete Black would eat him or shove him off the stage?

what? A ballet dancer? So she knows how to maneuver in that costume more gracefully, making her gait not look so aggressive and terrifying?

Well, Pete Black is basically a stranger to Jackie, and he knows Jessi really well so maybe that has something to do with it? I don't know, I agree it was totally dumb to have him so scared of the croc!

Re: instances of Shea being mean to Jackie. In Kristy and the Walking Disaster, when the Krushers first started, Shea wasn't exactly nice to Jackie when they were playing softball together... Or was yjat the example that was given? I've forgotten now, oops.
Generally though, I thought all the Rodowsky brothers got on well. There are several instances where Jackie breaks stuff or makes a mess, and they all pitch in to help clean/fix, because they're used to it.

I think Shea is really patient with Jackie in most books. I wouldn't be so nice to my brother if he broke all my stuff. When we were younger it was more like the contrary, though, I broke all my little brother's stuff...

I think Shea is nice to Jackie because they both have some kind of a "disability" - Jackie's clumsiness and Shea's learning disability (I forget what) - so he could sympathize. I dunno

Shea had dyslexia, a learning disorder in which he had trouble with reading and writing, but was strong at doing the work mentally.

^Yeah, it's the whole plot of Claudia's Freind! I adore that book. It made me love Shea, he was really sweet in it.

I really like Jackie and Archie but never cared much about Shea - not that I dislike him. I don't know why, though, maybe because he's friends with the awful triplets (I'm not sure if he really is but I think of him that way). I think he's always kind of overshadowed by Jackie's lovable klutzyness and Archie's impishness, so I do feel a bit sorry for him with that. I'll have to reread Claudia's Friend and see what I think of Shea after that.
