^ There do seem to be quite a few divorced couples so maybe that's what the lawyers are needed for ;D Anyway.... Just read an inconsistency in Sharon’s occupation. In an earlier book, it mentions that she sells real estate but in Fire at MA’s House, it says she works for a small accounting firm. That book also says that she is thinking about going back to school to be an interior decorator or architect. That jumped out at me since we were talking about it in one of the threads a while ago – I think it was in Dawn on the Coast – because of Sharon’s cool houses. I guess they did pick up on Sharon’s design sense when it came to houses (though the thought of her being a scatterbrained architect frightens me ;D)

^Haha, yeah, me too. ;D In The Fire at Mary Anne's House Richard and Sharon mention the possibility of her going back to college when they are considering moving to Philadelphia. She'd probably leave her homework in the DVD player or something, being as scatterbrained as she is. ;D

I can't imagine Sharon being an architect. The building would totally fall down.

^ ;D Agree. Unless ( I think I've already mentioned this - if so, sorry) she isn't scatterbrained at work, though I doubt it.

I found this thread by searching to see if any of the BSC/client parents had any more blue collared jobs but ended up going through the cg for the dads lol. Watson - CEO of Unity Insurance Richard - partner in a law firm John Kishi - Investment banker Ed McGill - VP in book 105 of what I'm not sure John Stevenson (rip) - environmental engineer and urban planning John Pike - corporate lawyer Mr. Delaney - partner in a law firm Mr. Hill - computer systems consultant Mr. Johanssen - engineer Mr. Martinez - high school science teacher Mr. Perkins - Lawyer Mr. Gray - mail order business From the little sisters: Mr. Springer - architect Mr. Green - chef at a french restaurant (chez maurice maybe?) Mr. Gilbert - newspaper writer Mrs. Sidney - veterinarian
Mr. Harding - dentist
I'm kind of surprised that we don't know what Newton or Rodowsky parents do for a living. They've been around the longest outside of the bsc's own families and nothing is listed for them occupation wise.

Think any of these lawyer dads ever worked with or against each other?

Could be! I guess it depends on what kind of law they did. Like Mr. Pike was corporate law, so he couldn't do any testifying or court room stuff like you see on tv.

Think any of these lawyer dads ever worked with or against each other? I doubt it since they didn't all work in the same courtrooms or in the same offices. I am sure in a large town like Stoneybrook, there are a few hundred lawyers. Could be! I guess it depends on what kind of law they did. Like Mr. Pike was corporate law, so he couldn't do any testifying or court room stuff like you see on TV. A friend of mine is a lawyer and she told me that actually very few lawyers spend much time at all in courtrooms and that most telly portrayals of lawyers are quite inaccurate. Most lawyers spend 95% of their working time at an office desk either meeting their clients in private or on phone calls, in conferences, going through either paper or computer files or writing on cases. So the likelihood of say, Richard Spier meeting another BSC dad in any courtroom is virtually nil to none.

I’d be curious to know what jobs everyone has in mind for the other dads. Like I can imagine Mr. Rodowsky having a fun job like a chef or something.

I love the idea of Mr. Rodowsky being a chef. It would make Shea's winning the baking contest with Claudia so meaningful, and Jackie wanting to be involved would make more sense too. He's not just trying to fit in with his older brother, but he sees his brother following in their dad's footsteps and wants to do it too.

Were there any doctor dads, or just Dr. Johanssen?

Were there any doctor dads, or just Dr. Johanssen? I'm not sure about how many doctor parents were mentioned in the books besides Charlotte's mum, but I'm sure Stoneybrook had quite a few doctor mums and dads around Stoneybrook.

Were there any doctor dads, or just Dr. Johanssen? None that we knew of, I kind of wish it was mentioned rather then us guessing.

Were there any doctor dads, or just Dr. Johanssen? None that we knew of, I kind of wish it was mentioned rather then us guessing. I'm glad they let us use our imaginations instead of trying to list every dad doctor in Stoneybrook. Can you imagine the page space that would be wasted? Gads, I'd hate to trudge through page after page describing all the dads' occupations throughout Stoneybrook. Stoneybrook is far too large of a town to even feature everyone who lives there. I'm sure there are tens of thousands of families all over Stoneybrook who don't get a book mention. Besides, it's fun to use the imagination and guess a bit. In my BSC high school fanfics, I have lots of fun creating a slew of new characters not featured in the books, especially as the BSC's high school classmates.
